Quad exhaust on clk 55 w209s
Hey guys just got my extra exhaust in the mail with two amg tips. Im looking to have the muffler cut off bc it wont fit with the way the spare tire case is set and want to to get the tips put on to make my amg quad exhaust. I live in San Antonio, Tx.
Anyone know what I can expect to be charged to get the quad exhaust done?
Anyone know of good shops around central texas to take my car to get the exhaust done?

The last guy I saw - had the rear tyre well removed and replaced with a later model year shallower tray. They also removed the spare tyre and put a re-fill and patch kit instead. That bought more space for the conversion.

Thanks fred. I think Im just going to go with removing the tips and adding the tips to the vehicle.
Anyone know whether to rout the tips before or after the muffler?

my w209 clk55
hey guys I just got a clk 55 w209 2004 and it only has dual exhaust on one side. I would like to add another dual tip exhaust so that it looks like the 2006 clk55 with quad exhaust. can I go to any muffler shop and have them add it on the other side. instead of paying a few thousands on a clk55 quad exhaust. do you guys think that it would sound good. HELP

I believe the mufflers are 4 or 5 in cylinder mufflers you see in the center. he must of removed the resonator. Straight pipe w/o muffler... i believe would not pass emissions.

Will you loose tq#'s removing the secondary cat, since you already don't have a muffler? (or do you , you said you had a straight pipe?)

Just got my exhaust done. Going to pick it up now. They put the CF diffuser on and piped the two tips for the rightside around the spare tire holder to just before the muffler on the stock exhaust. I'll post pictures after I go pick it up.

The exhaust is done!
The car sounds so much meaner and looks more aggressive. People are doing double takes on the roads first looking cause they hear something sweet and then again when they realize its a mercedes. Here are some pics. The guys at lethal performance did a great job. Entire exhaust set up was $660 including muffler purchase for tips, pipping, and labor (welding and installing diffuser).
The CF diffuser was made by eurorev ($550).

Exhaust looks great
Awesome work vjcchs12! Looks fab I really would like to hear it, you should upload a video of it.
Clarification the 660 included parts and labour?
Also what muffler did you install?
So the total you spent for the exhaust and diffuser is $1100?
How long this
I had a shop quote me for the same work to use magnaflow catbacks and they quoted me a crazy 4k. I took it to another shop and they said they cannot do it. I'm at a point that I will drive down to any place that can get this done for me, seriously

Wow great thing you went to lethal. That's the shop I was talking to you about when I sent you a PM a while back. Danny is cool and they do great work on everything they work on. I should be getting mine done there soon. We should meet up sometime so I can hear the car.

The pictures in this post are of my car.. i acutally have glass pack muffler mounted where the resonator used to be.. also note that i have a true dual exhaust with x pipe.. not the stupid piggyback system most members have muffler shops do..
its got a lot more grunt especially under compression.. but the best thing about my setup is that on the freeway at 65 the car is quiet.. just like stock...unless your floor it and it sounds like death!
I personally didnt like the quality of the eurorev diffuser and i sent it back.. it was too much hassle getting them to install it with perfect fitment.. its easy enough to just cut the bumper
here are some vids

Hey mk4mike -
Do you have pics of the setup from underneath the car?
If not can you explain what you did to acheive true dual exhaust X pipe and the breakup of the total cost you spent to get this work done?
