Gotta used the right tube to reach the bottom of the oil pan...I believed they provided 2 different sizes of tube...Used the small one ( at least that what i used).

yep! I have 3 tubes! the main tube and 2 extension tubes... I also have used the smallest one to dip in the engine....

Seriously I tried playing around with the tube to get it to where the oil are... but no luck.. maybe next time..

I m also using oil as an excavator.No need to do anything with the drain plug, you do not even need to get under the car. Mercedes also used excavator tech I think.

you can check your oil quantity by;
1: turning the key to the first position
2: press the reset button 3 times, your battery voltage will appear on screen
3: use the up and down button on the streering wheel to scrool until you see engine oil display
4: turn the key to the second position, the exact amount of oil will appear on screen.

alright for those of you that have done your own oil change. (i know i had a thread on this) but when i was reading other threads, they said red cap is transmission which in the pic, was closer to the engine -_- and the black tube was the engine oil. i rather be safe than sorry which is why im asking again. lol

this was the pic attached.

haha i will most definitely wait for those pics. i won't be doing the oil change until the first week of august, waiting for the pump to ship in.

i saw on amazon, there was a mobil 1 filter. but it was $44 lol. i might stick with oem for that price.

or go out to your car and shoot a pix of your engine bay then I can tell you. There's should be a tube with a red cap close to the firewall near the MAF sensor.

Red at the top is the "faux dipstick". On MY 2003 and 2004 CLK55, MBZ decided to not include the dipstick and leave the checking of oil to the computer/dashboard method.
