CLK-63 Black Series Steerling Wheel

This Steering Wheel was removed from my 2008 Mercedes Benz CLK 63 Black Series at 800 miles. It's in perfect condition, not a scratch, scuff or mark on it.

I have included pictures of the replacement Carbon Fiber Steering Wheel to illustrate that this did come off my CLK BS.

Local pick up ok, will ship.

Please feel free to contact me directly with any questions, 415.717.1127

Thank you

I wanted to upgrade to this steering wheel so bad a while back but found out from the dealership that I would need a new airbag for it. The airbag in my car won't work with that wheel. That made the cost of the mod way too much. Too bad because I would kill for that steering wheel.

It works well on a CLS55 (without having to change the airbag).

And works on the E63 without having to switch the airbag as well.

I don't remember now what the dealership quoted me but it was alot! Just call the dealership and they should tell you how much. I just remember that the wife/fiance would have killed me if I spent that much!
It was cheaper to get the CF front lip and BS rear spoiler.

I havent asked my dealer cuz im sure my head might explode cuz of all these obnoxious prices lately but I think I would be willing to drive the car without an air bag for a steering wheel like that

your making me really consider getting one
which would you recommend though because they have different options
the one you have is standard leather they have one with suede and one with carbon fiber its confusing I can't pick

Hey bud.

Carbon Fibre would obviously be the more desirable choice.
But likely the more expensive choice too.

I wasn't keen on the idea of having a suede steering wheel.
I get the feeling that it'll accumilate dirt and grubbiness after a while.
I may be wrong though.

I am happy with the leather one because it matches the rest of the car (the aggressive design of the steering wheel also compliments the contours on the seats too) and it is easy to clean. You can also feed the leather on the steering wheel just like your seats. So it'll age well too.

I assume that they are all the same thickness and diameter, so you won't miss out there, regardless of which one you go for.

Thanks for the feed back
Well my car is black on black and I have wooden interior so carbon fiber would look kind of weird on it guess leather on leather would be the best choice

OOOH, That's the one! No carbon, no alcantra, just like that.
Except they put it on the wrong side?!?

I went to the AMG event at Road Atlanta a couple of weeks ago. I would have "borrowed" a wheel from one of the CLK Black Series they had for us to drive, but it wouldn't fit on my carry on baggage

Hey bud.

Not sure, off the top of my head, how big the BS steering wheel is, diameter-wise, but it is noticeably smaller when you grab a hold of it.

I love it.

One thing though.. with the steering wheel in my driving position, I am unable to see the speed increments between 40mph and 120mph, because the wheel is smaller and dips in front of the speedo, more-so than the original wheel.

Doh! LOL!

Oh well, I'll just have to keep her under 40mph......... or over 120mph!

LOL!!
