I just bought some rotors and brake pads for my ride, would I be able to reuse them?

I'm not sure why the BS calipers are cheaper...I thought they were the same as on the 55/63. could be wrong.

but yeah it should all be plug and play.

Sounds good. Did you install yourself? I'm no mechanic, but did you have to drain your brake lines and all the jazz. How long did it take to complete fronts and rears?

PEOPLE! CLK63 Black series calipers will not work on w203 or w209 or R171!

They use different spindles therefore the rotor will not fit, the caliper does not work on the knuckle. If you want 63 brakes get them for the standard 63 car not the black series

I don't want to sound like a dick! but i will, its not right to make assumptions that can leave someone out of pocket! If you dont know dont comment!

This is the pricing broken down, form the website www.autopartspeople.com

Mechanical Catalog - 2008 - Mercedes-Benz - CLK Class
Brakes, Hydraulic system, Front brakes, Caliper, Caliper, clk63 amg, right, standard edition $600.60
Mechanical Catalog - 2008 - Mercedes-Benz - CLK Class
Brakes, Hydraulic system, Front brakes, Caliper, Caliper, clk63 amg, left, standard edition $600.60
Mechanical Catalog - 2008 - Mercedes-Benz - CLK Class
Brakes, Brake components, Front pads, Front pads, clk63 amg, standard edition $180.18
Mechanical Catalog - 2008 - Mercedes-Benz - CLK Class
Brakes, Brake components, Front brakes, Rotor, Rotor, clk63 amg, standard edition $631.40
Brakes, Brake components, Front brakes, Rotor, Rotor, clk63 amg, standard edition $631.40

Total come to $2644.18

Then factor in stainless steel brake lines your near to $3000, it makes more sense to buy the Brembo GT front and AMG rears!

Unless you can pick up a used set! which are like gold dust

Mike

Does Brembo offer a rear kit? It would be a weird miss-match to have Red Brembos up front and Silver AMG's in the rear...unless you repaint the rears i guess

Does 8 pistons AMG from W211/CLS/S will fit? problem will be the rotors or not?

I'm also looking to buy the CLK63 brakes, and I can get the calipers for a good price, problem is the rotors, to expensive!
Can we get the rotors from anywhere else and not from dealer? Brembo ones maybe?

I talked to steve to try organize a group buy for these brakes, but he don't have them in stock, only the S600 ones!
