HELP PLEASEE!!!! W209 CLK55 problem!!

Hey Guys, I dont know where else to turn. MY 2003 CLK55 decided its not going to open up. Both my keys will NOT open the doors. Neither LOCK nor UNLOCK is working! (The blade on the side of the key doesn't turn to open the doors, but im assuming thats an issue on its own...)

Is there anyone who's had this problem before? Both of the keys have the little red light that blinks when i press the button.... any help please?

Have you tried using that little metal key to A) Open the driver's side door or B) Open the trunk and crawling through the trunk to get to the front.

Finally, feel free to call Mercedes-Benz Roadside assistance. They will be happy to send a tech out from the nearest MBZ Dealership to open your car up.

To use the blade/metal key to open the door, you have to spray WD-40 inside the lock to loose up dirt build up inside for years. Or call NA Mercedes to open your door remotely. They will verify to make sure you're the owner of the car before they open your door.

Didnt think of spraying WD-40... I changed the batteries on the remotes, still nothing, Im taking the car down to my buddies shop to test the car battery, i read on an SLK thread that the "Antenna" may have gotten disconnected, any idea on that? Both remotes were working fine, but I havent ever changed the batteries on the remote, they look like they're the original "panasonic" batteries. Any input helps!! thanks again!

How are you going to take the car to your buddies if you can't get in?

Ok after standing by the door for 20 minutes and repetitive clicking the door finally opened! I decided to take it an independent benz shop.... was a WASTE of my $127 for diagnosis... They said that the mechanism where the blade key goes in is defective and is causing the car to not let me get in, they screwed with the car for a few hours. They called me to pickup the car and said they fixed the problem, but the key only will work when im RIGHT next to the driver door. It opens and closes now, but i have to be literally almost 3 inches away from the door for anything to function!!! this is so aggravating!!!

ANY IDEAS??? WTH is wrong with my car????
