Thank You Valentine 1!
I went out for a mountain drive yesterday with a few car buddies. The mini-caravan consisted of an ’02 M3, an ’02 M Roadster, an ’03 530i, an ’02 C32 and my ’02 CLK55. Three of us were running detectors and we all carried FRS radios. I brought along a police scanner as well.
Bottom line. We were saved three times on our 200 mile round trip up to the mountains and back. One police officer was using “instant-on” (near the mountain top), another had his radar on continuosly on the freeway run and one was parked in a convenience store lot shooting radar (the V1 picked him up as a second bogey). Each time, the V1 located the threat and we could react in time.
Saved our butts!

That is great, how does valentine work with "instant on" cops that trick?
Valentine has this to say about it:

Did you get a chance to do any straight line races between the CLK55 and C32 or M3? I would like to hear how the 55 compares to the C32 or M3.
Thanks.

There was a fair amount of traffic on the drive up, but it was only two lane. A few short bursts of speed, etc. No real way to gauge any real comparisons.
The M Roadster is VERY quick in the mountains.

The latest generation of the V1 Detector Series is 1/2" small in height then previously designed - My V1 has saved my butt almost once a week - I had mine hardwired over the passenger headrest - works great... $399.00 Is a little steep but think of the price of a speeding ticket, and if you live in New Jersey the insurance hike thereafter.
Thanks.
Timster made an installation guide, which we have under our tech section on our website at: www.evosprt.com/tech. Feel free to read it and learn how to hardwire the V1 to your interior dome light.
