Options on my 2002 W208 cab
I just went to the Mercedes-Benz Club Russia VIN decoder site and found that my car has the following options:
Not sure I quite understand #'s 231 (what garages does it open, and how?), 249 ("automatically dipping"?), 265 ("elimination of lettering", "omission of line logo"), 349 ("non delivery - side blinkers"), 551 (I haven't seen evidence of any "anti-theft/anti-break-in" system, but then I haven't tried to 
), 634 (why would one eliminate a first aid box?), and 636 ("warning triangle"?).
Any comments?

The three buttons on the rearview mirror can act as three different garage door openers. The owner's manual has instructions for programming the buttons.

Sounds like the antiglare sensors in the rearview mirror. It doesn’t work if the interior light is on, or the car is in reverse.

Standard for US spec cars.

Lower the windows. Get out of the car and lock the doors with the remote. Now reach through the open window and open the door. That alarm.
