An 05 CLK55 coupe . . . . . nice . . . . . . . anyway, the story is green filters allegedly flow more than certain other filters. Are you asking "how" to change filters?

pull the engine cover off...it is attached in 4 places with rubber and metal snaps. Don't be afraid to pull, nothing will break. Flip the cover over and remove the screws. Replace the filters (controversy about oem, green, k&n..do a thread search). The only thing to watch for when replacing the cover is that the rear seats totally into the MAF housing...lower the cover...back 2 snaps should pop in. After that is secure, gently lower the front of the cover and pop the last 2 connectors...15 minutes

has to be simple
everything else that i have come across is...
the front clips were easy to find, the backs are what have eluded me.
is the cover just one piece with a hinge?
