i've read a few posts on this, and saw this by chance this am.
there's no price, and i'm not affiliated in any way. just thought this might be of interest to clk owners and seeing the pix/details. scotts valley - near silicon valley, so my guess is one of the seagate execs or a retired dotcom guy.

It certainly is badass. However, that mostly applies to the coupe IMO. The convertible CLK DTM makes no sense at all. Again IMO.

I have a good story about one of these cars. I was in SoCal on holiday in June '08 with some friends. We went to Autobooks Aerobooks in Burbank (it was a car guy holiday). I understand Jay Leno is a regular there. Anyway, when we left to head back to the car, we saw a black CLK DTM cabrio. Wow. The owner was an old guy dude who was kind enough to show us the car for a good 20 minutes.

Funnily enough, one of my buddy's stayed in the car while my other friend and I went into the shop. He saw the DTM pull up, but as he was at a distance, he thought it was just some CLK 'with a big wing on it' and thought nothing of it. When he saw us stop and gawk, he came out too!
