spark plugs for clk55 05
hi guys,i have a clk55 cpe 05 with 26k miles,the operator's manuel list the spark plugs as: NGK ILFR6A gap 0.8mm.i checked my engine i found original mercedes NGK IFR6D10 with gap 1.0mm. did anyone knows why?? and what's the difference between the 2 ???

300E a couple 1994 w124wagon E320 Wagon/,1971MGB Track/Rally, MG Midget Autocross ,2000 E320 wagon.
Like many models
plug type have been either upgraded or superseded
with .039gap
03-06 call variously for ifr610d and 03-05 ifr510d
the only difference being the heat range
performance engine stick with the 610D
so the best I can figure is a mid year engine spec change calling for ifr6d10 in those engines
stick to what it had in it
engines 113.980 were in use up to mid year and then changed to 113.987 at mid year
remember don't use anti seize and torque them properly
use the 17mm boot removal tool
with .039gap
