CPS Problem
Can a CPS problem be intermittent? i.e. often the car starts normally and sometimes it cranks but doesn't start. (2001 CLK55 AMG)

Not to my knowledge. If the check engine light is illuminated, a code is probably stored. That will point to the problem.
