HELLO EVERYONE!!!

Bought this car brand new in 2006 and have only done a couple little mods...engine tuning, air filters, wheels and that's it. I am joining the forum now to get some good ideas, advice, and help.

After going to a couple track events with my local Merc dealer, I am interested in upgrading the suspension and exhaust on the car now. I can find plenty of suspension options, but the exhaust seems to be almost impossible to find for a 2006 CLK55 AMG convertible. Any and all help on this would be much appreciated.

Well, here are some pics of the ride...let me know what you think

Nice car! I would recommend deleting the resonator and secondary cats for more exhaust sound and better flow.

I took the car to a custom exhaust shop, and they told me it doesn't have a resonator...true or false???

Ok, I will try to get the car up in the air tomorrow and take some pics...

Sorry for the rough pics, these were taken during a track event at Roebling Road in Savannah, GA...you should see some of the other Mercs that were there...

Cool...didn't think someone had chopped them off, I have had this car since it was brand new!!!

So what does everyone do to get more of a rumble from the exhaust?

From some pictures I've seen, some CLK's have bubble resonators in place of the secondary cats, then no additional resonator down-stream. I had primary and secondary cats with a res, all changed now though.

Tune is ok...will be better when I free up the exhaust...

Cost was around $1000...

No dyno yet, thinking about doing it after some headers and cats though...
