how many non-bs clk 63 coupes are in the US?
What do they sell for vs the bs provided you can find a seller?
does it have the same power output as the bs?
The closest you'll get to that State-side is the new C63 AMG Black Series - stunning little piece of hardware if you ask me.

Kev, my good man!!
Thanks for your words about my car.
Even though it was raining bad that day, I'm glad I brought it down to show you.
Identical to any other 06+ CLK?? ... hell no!

I have the 63 front bumper which was re-styled for the CLK63
... and, of course, the 63 badges... worth their weight in gold! LOL!!
The 63 also has the nappa leather, but I'm not sure if that was also offered in other models too.
Hope you are well buddy.
Since Mercedes doesn't imported it to US but you can make it to look almost like a coupe. Buy a Clk63 Cab., do the quad exhaust system (fake or real) then buy a hard top for about $2500. I saw a picture of a clk Cab. with a hard top and it look 99.9% like a coupe.

I am trying to see if it is possible to customize the quad exhaust to fit my 2008 CLK63 Cab. Thank you in advance!

Hi mate,
Here are a couple of pictures from when I had the silencer removed form the exhaust a while back that may help you.
I don't have many pictures of what you are asking for, and none of the inside of the trunk space. But I will take some more for you when I get the chance.
There may be some pictures in my album on my profile that may help you.
There is a guy on here, I think he's in Hong Kong - he has a CLK and has put a 63 front bumper on it.
He has recently put a CF splitter on it - or it may be cheap fibre glass with a carbon overlay.
It is made in taiwan from what he was saying.
I PM'd him a while ago to ask about it but he didn't seem interested in replying to me for some reason.
Pretty rude, I thought.
I'll try and find the thread and post up the link.

You may have more luck getting a response from him than I did.

Thanks Rashman!
They didn't actually do too much more to the Black Series as far as I am aware.. just altered the exhaust and the ecu map alittle.
What did you gain from this modification?
I'm considering doing the same, but I'm not sure if the sound will be right - after all the good people in Affalterbach did spend some time designing the sound...
(sorry for OT)

Hey Christian,
By removing the silencer/ resonator, I wanted to make the car sound alittle more aggressive.
You're right in saying that AMG work hard to compliment their cars with a befitting soundtrack, but I just wanted alittle more.
I'm not really keen to go down the de-cat route just yet.
A few people I know have removed their back cats, but I think they sound too loud and "un-AMG" like.
With the silencer/ resonator removed, there is now a nice deep worble when climbing the rev range - especially between 2100-3000 rpm.
But it is not overwhelming and not a nuisance.
You can still drive normally without the car shouting at everyone around you. It's very civilised when driving normally.
When I lay off the throttle, the exhaust pops and booms which sounds awesome. It didn't do that before and it really sounds great.
But again, it's not out of place and suits the car very much. It still has the traditional V8 burble and doesn't sound "tampered" with... it just has alittle more attitude.
