Got a Q abt our FRT bumpers

I bought a 63 AMG fiberglass bumper to install on my 55. It came naked without grills or fogs. I am now looking for grills and I am confused.
Are 63 AMG bumpers exactly like the 550s' ?
I always thought they were the same with side vents added to the 63.
Here is what my issue, to me these look exactly the same but they are different...? Which ones do I need for my 63 bumper ?

Check out the link and compare the SECOND and THIRD grills. They look identical to me.

I did this swap. You need 2 fog-grill and one center grill.

Elijah, the Q you and i need answered is on the side vents. Can ANY CLK63 owners take a picture of their side vent? I installed the CLK63 bumper but the side vents have no covering. My neighbor has a 2012 E63 and his vents are covered with a plastic lining on the inside so nothing gets in, but i dunno if the CLK63's have this. Could someone please help me...

If you bought one of those bumper from Ebay then you should really buy the mesh grille from the company so you don't have to deal with the fitment. Hope your bumper look like the one below.

I keep seeing you asking these questions. I don't think it just the cover that you're talking about. I think they actually called it side bumper support that also cover the side vents.

Yes exactly that bumper and you are right regarding fitment however I did not like the grills it came with, it was all plastic and I want steel so I told him to take them off and deduct from total.

I am about to go ahead and order the steel grills for 295$.

One of the reasons why im hesitating is because some say the bumper I got is a 63 and others say its a 550 with added vents... That's why I am asking from that site which one seems to fit my bumper.
They look identital to me BUT "06 CLK 55 & 2007 CLK 550" is 230$
....................................... "2007 Series CLK 63" is 295$

I was looking at those grills a year ago or so and was thinking about buying them but then I found pics of them that show they are flat, they are not 'form curved' like the OEM grills. I'm not sure how they would look in reality so I passed.

If you do get them I hope they look and fit really well, looking forward to pics.

Thanks for the info. I kind of like the idea.

Can anyone answer my initial Q?

I am still confused about whether the bumper I got is a 63AMG or a 550 with added vents

Ok so http://www.mina-gallery.com/model-pa.../CLK03-AMG.htm is a complete wast of time.
1. I placed the order
2. I get an email from them asking what kind of car I own when I already mentioned it in the order
3. I get another email

Hello again.

We do have the middle grille as a direct replacement, but the side grilles are not replacements, but overlays. The side mesh mounts on top of the original grille. Please let me know if that still works for you.

Thanks,

Chris

4. Proceeded by asking for a refund. A center grill + side OVERLAYS aint worth 338$.

Now I am back on the hunt for grills
