The e55 ecu and the excess modifications to make this work might be a deal breaker for some to follow your path, but we want to see this work and you break records since you had to deal with all these headaches. Congratulations on some progress finally, make us all proud

Ok well I just did a compression test and everything looks great! Every cylinder within 5PSI of each other. Can't wait to get it dyno tuned Tuesday and then to the track!

I haven't been to the track with the new axles yet but I will try to launch it off the stall since everything is beefed up

I believe Weistec is developing the kit to work with the stock ECU and MAF so no need to swap. I will try my best to make everyone proud

It was 97 degrees and humid today at the dyno. Unfortunately I ran out of fuel pump. I ordered a bosch 044 pump that will be here tomorrow and will continue tuning after pump is installed. Not giving up yet

Are the fuel line's stock or upgraded,
When upgrading fuel pumps a .060 orifice teed into the supply and tied into a return line always helps relieve stress on fuel injectors. I used #10 SSB into a holly regulator feeding 1200 CFM of Weber fun. Plan man!!!!

Gator PS: still have that car

I installed a Bosch 044 fuel pump and dyno tuned another 3 hours in the scorching heat. The power isn't where I want it to be on the dyno but I will see what it does at the track once this heat wave passes

Thanks I'm getting sick of being the guinea pig. May be time to move on to another platform

"Another Platform" - I hear you man....... there are way cheaper/arguably "better" ways to go fast. I contemplate this quarterly, but I keep dumping more clams into my star-car.

Gt500 with tune/tires/pulley is a BEAST.......

Thanks for taking the time to do this and document it......

Patients is our friend especially when its too hot to fish!!!
I wouldn't give up yet, No guinea pig, just fulfilling a desire. A one of a kind Benz will not be sought out by those who can afford the fun but it might help discover what really makes this combination happen in many other circumstances. I guarantee that after sitting on it for some time the results will pay off with a quick and simple fix.

Your numbers are going to be way different since your engine is blown from the factory. I think speedriven recently posted numbers around 600whp for the e55 motor but I'm not sure what stage of mods it was plus the supercharger to get to that point

I think I read that it had MBH headers and exhaust. Otherwise stock.

Damn that's impressive. I think a heavily modified e55 makes that much hp. We all said this before but wish our cars came with the kompressor motor to take the heavier mods. I would love to see someone with a clk dtm heavily modify it and put on the bigger blower. That would be the ultimate beast

Took the car to the local track the other night. Took a long time to get a run in because alot of cars were blowing motors (oiling down the track) and crashing. After sitting in the lanes for a few hours I finally got a pass. Spun a bit out the hole so only managed a 1.8 60' and the car ran 11.3@124 I was disappointed with the power the car was making and it confirmed the low dyno numbers. Obviously with a better 60' the car would be in the mid tens but I was hoping for alot more. The car is full weight plus a bunch of extra weight from tools etc. I drove it to the track with drag radials and drove it home. Didn't change anything at the track.

So after that I decided to log some pulls and see why the car isn't making big power like it's supposed to. I actually tried logging at the track but for some reason the laptop didnt want to connect when I was in the lanes Anyways, I did a pull from top of second to top of third and logged timing, boost, rpm, IAT, etc etc. I went home and looked at the log...

By the top of 3rd gear (pull started in top of 2nd) IAT's hit 200 degrees! The timing was pulled to only 8 degrees. I had no ice in the tank. That's definitely the issue right now. The pump is flowing well as evdienced by the flow in the trunk reservoir. Weistec mentioned trying their trunk reservoir (I already have one but they said theirs would reduce my IAT's by over 60 degrees) and to relocate the filter. I guess that's my next step. Although I'm a bit skeptical that doing those two things will keep IAT's in check.

isn't the IAT sensor with the maf sensor? You think these high readings might be since you had to have the maf sensor relocated?

The IAT sensor is indeed located in the MAF sensor on a stock car. I'm running the 55k ECU and wiring, no more MAF. The IAT sensor is in the Weistec SC housing. The high readings is because th eintercooler doesn't seem up to the task

Where is the intake/cone filter located? Is it sitting over the headers or did you rout it to the front of grill? Did you already have a heat shield in place?

I can't remember your intake setup but maybe I should just search up a few pages.

It is exactly where the Weistec kit routes it for 55k cars. I am going to make a custom intake. Meth kit comes in by the weekend hopefully

They told me they were working to solve the heat issue and will route the pipe into an area in the corner and redo the heat shield Vadim put in. When I told him that there is not much air flow down in the corner, he mentioned that they will work a path to the snorkel on the driver side.

I prefer a dual cold air intake like the one you had on your Kleemann setup but of course can't duplicate your head-light removal.

I just don't understand why they felt that the throttle body inlet restriction was a bigger disadvantage than placing the intake opening over the exhaust manifold. They are geniuses but this design just baffles me.

Even if they route the intake to the front grill f the car, I think it definitely will not look as appealing as the Speedriven kit I see here.

I thought you were against Meth due to it's corrosive effects. Are you placing it AFTER the SC but BEFORE the injectors? or direct port injection?

I don't like using something that needs to be replenished but given the IAT's I have no choice. Either meth or nitrous. You will probably run into same issue

So no tuning for the Meth? So if it runs super rich you don't think might wash down your cylnders?

I used to run an Aquamist system on my HPS kit. Vadim told me to take it off since he won't tune for it when I swapped out to the Kleemann autorotor.
