question about lowering car
i'm looking to lower my 03 clk55 about an inch to an inch and a half.
would i have to replace the the shocks or can i just replace the springs?

the rear would be lowered 1.1 inches and the front 1.3 inches. would lowering the front 1.3 inches affect the wheels when turning the wheels?

+1 on what toga has already said.
If you already have good shocks like some Bilsteins, you're probably fine paired with a less agressive set like Eibach. If you're still on oem shocks or a more gerenal oem replacement, then you should replace them after lowering your car - at some point. you don't have to, but you will enjoy your car and your suspension much more.

i checked out the link. thanks a lot. those springs are nice but they give a 2 inch drop im just looking for an inch to an inch and a half. my development has speed bumps

The extra work to change out the shocks while doing the springs is minimal, I would do them at the same time IMO. I'm on H&R and Koni yellows, very happy with the look, ride and adjustability for track days.

now if i lower the car an inch to an inch and a half. would that affect the front wheel hitting the wheel wells. it would still have the stock wheels
