Whats new for 2004 CLK55

I'm thinking of getting a CLK55.....whats new on 2004?

The basis of the 2004 CLK55 remains the same as the 2003, however the convertible is now avialable in the new body style.

There are several new options:
- New color: Cadet blue metallic - a steel blue/gray
- 2 designo editions - Espresso (black ext/tan int.) and Bronze (Bronze ext/light tan int)
- Walnut wood dash and trim a la other CLK's standard interior
- Ventilated seats
- Electronic trunk closer - closes trunk from open position

One previous option has been upgraded, that being the Motorola telephone is now the V-60i tri band replacing the older V60 dual band.

All the other options are there but some are packaged differently. I've noted one other change that is the deletion of the red rear drivers side "fog lamp".

Thanks Ferrariman for the info! Do you have any links or photos of the Cadet Blue Metallic....maybe an interesting choice. I love the Steel Grey Metallic on the M3s but I don't think MB has anything close to that color.

The paint code is 357. The scan is not a very good representation.

I have a BMW in Steel Blue, the MB version appears to be much darker and more gray.

Talking wait a minute......

I maybe on too something here, fairly sure but not 100% sure, but if cadet blue is the same as the 357 code then its only a new color for the US not the rest of the world as it was available last year in europe...HOWEVER......it was available for the 2003 model year in the US, in limited quantities...my hunch is its the same color as the saks exclusive blue paint that came out on the coupe in the US last year....if someone owns one of those cars they should look at the paint code on their sticker and see if it matches 357.....

my guess is that to make it exclusive for a year for Saks, they didnt allow it as an option until the 04 model....

if this is the case, there are a few pics of the color on the european benz sites

Why would they delete the rear red fog light?? I use mine all the time....ok, ok I lied, but if it was foggy out I would consider using it!!

They left it for the aftermarket companies to come up with a solution. If MB thought of everything, the aftermarket companies would be out of business. :p

Why would they delete the rear red fog light?
I don't decide these things! Compare the 2003 brochure with the 2004. You'll see that the rear fog is no longer mentioned.

Has anyone taken delivery of an'04? That will clear it up.
