REALISTIC MARKET PRICE FOR W208 CLK55 AMG?

Hey guys, I been trying to sell my W208 CLK55 AMG for months but nothing really serious. I am just wondering what is a best price to set this car to sell faster? I checked the KBB the car is value at around $12500 for private party but i know someone will try to negotiate a little. I also tried used car lot and someone offer $7500 cash. I really have no room to keep the car any longer plus I still pay insurance for a car i dont even drive anymore. need some input. here is the auto trader ad link

i think 8500 is bit too low for private party for the condition and mileage. I think 10k(bottom bottom) sounds more fair. what do you think?

I would say 10k tops, probably realistically 9K.

It took a long time for my w208 to sell. Ended up letting it got for $14,500.

Mine only had 43k Miles on it, this was also 2 years ago.

Took 6-7 months. Really never received any credible leads on here. I sold it through autotrader.

I plan to put my ML55 on autotrader as well. Good thing is I can sit on a car for awhile. These older AMG's are a very niche market.

anymore with people hanging on to great cars, you can find better and better deals at the dealer because they are now having to actively go out and find better used cars to sell. Even Mercedes dealers i bet are having less trade ins that they're used to

I purchased my 2002 55 for $12.6k w/ 71k miles a few months back.

It did not have a single mod and was in mint condition and amazing service history! The cluster and front bumper were replaced within the past year, receipts for just these repairs was $4,100 and it was garage kept...I felt very happy w/ the deal I got!!! No regrets, great car but searched forever to find one in this shape/stock. Purchased from older gentleman who lived in a nice area and was very honest too.

Last of the true hand-built engines and before Chrysler....

GL w/sale!

I was in the market for a CLK55 for my wife in July 2012, and actually considered your car (I'm local to SoCal), but ended up finding a 2002 with 52k miles, for which I paid 13K, basically what you're asking.

From what I recall, your car has had quit a few owners (correct me If I'm wrong), which was a big turn off. I also wasn't a fan of the interior mods. I also saw and spoke to several cars with similar millage that were selling for 10-11K.

Personally, I think 10-11K would be an appropriate selling price. I think you should also consider throwing in the Brabus rims and undoing the interior modifications, some of which seem tacky. Just my 2 cents.

GLWS.

2002 CLK 55 AMG cabriolet Eurocharged
I purchased my 02 CLK55 cab for 9,000 w 130,000
The car looks showroom new from front to back top to bottom.
Needed tuning and service.
The AMG market is definately limited.
Low milage CLK will net 13,000 plus in Florida

why would the clk market be limited? wouldn't someone prefer to have an amg car than a factory benz?
