It's gone!
For those that don't read the off topic section.
After about three months of trying to sell my CLK55 AMG. It finally sold today. They will be by tomorrow with a transporter to pick up the car. It's off to Cincinnati Ohio.
Thank you to everyone for sharing your knowledge, experience and humor.
Take care and have fun, see you in a couple of years when I come back for another Mercedes.
By for now,
Tim

No, I think Timster is a Vette man at heart and he's off to the wonderful world of the ZO6. As wonderful as a MBs are, I believe Timster is itching for a true sports car.

I still think it is very coincidental that Timster had a fight with HPS, returned it, spent almost $20,000 on a Kleemann and sold it within a 2 month period. He had it up for sale almost the day after he got it back with a Kleemann.
Doesn't anyone find this strange?

Sorry Karl, I didn't spend that much.
HPS was Zero, Nada Zippo! Just allot of frustration and nonsense.
Tires and wheels less than $2K.
And the MB warranty is still good it just doesn't cover the Super Charger. I've had the car in at the local MB dealer for the 12K service and they said nothing.
As for the sale of my CLK55, I got the Kleemann system in February and didn't try to sell it until May. I’ve owned it for12 months. I’m bored.
I buy and sell cars all the time.
I had my 01 Porsche Twin Turbo a total of 5 weeks
I had my 02 Corvette 10 months.
None of it has anything to do with Kleemann. I would install another Kleemann system in a heart beat. To bad Kleemann doesn’t sell Supercharger systems for Corvettes!
Cheers,
Tim

Yeah Lingenfelter (LPE), awesome horse power.
I think this time I'll wait awhile on the horse power mods.
The Z06 is already a monster when it comes to Horse Power and Torque.
Thanks for reminding me,
Tim

No longer car shopping...
Congrats Timster
Congrats on your sale. Have any stragglers who would be interested in mine? As you know it doesn't have the Kleeman but would make a great car to add one too. $24K and in great condition. In many ways I too would love to go back to the vette world (at times). My '87 ragtop was a lot of fun! Looks like 4-doors are in my future though...

I mean, as soon as you get the car off the lot it depreciates, right? (In general)
So if you get rid of it soon thereafter, aren't you always taking a hit to the wallet? Or am I just stupid?
Is this a case of buying cars that held - or increased! - their value over the limited time period involved? I'm aware that in some cases, people probably got an early spot in a waiting list to get a "hot" car and (presumably) paid sticker and then could turn it around later and get it back due to the high demand ...
(This question is for Timster - or anyone else, for that matter)
