Did I pay too much? 2001 CLK55.
The car is all original. The airdam/bumper cover needs attention, and the right front fender has a minor dent-- which I am hoping I can get fixed well enough with paint-less dent removal. There is no paintwork on the car, and I'd like to keep it that way.
It's definitely a blast to drive!
first off, that's a nice looking car; and AMG to boot eh?
the dreaded 'did I overpay' question.......the answer is....

the hell with it! it's a done deal right? and if the car makes you
happy then it wasn't too much money!!!
no regrets, and enjoy your new beast........that not many folks get to experience

l complained a bit and made it 9k.
I don't believe a strong CLK55 candidate will get below 10K for quite a while.
Nice ride and welcome aboard, These cars are like. no other!!!
All the best, Gator

I'm VERY happy with it. No buyer remorse. It's a LOT of performance for only $10K. I can't think of anything that would offer more fun and value for that price.
It had been serviced at the same dealer since new. I got a print out of all the service records, and it looks like it may need engine mounts and a steering dampener soon-- based on the comments in the service records. At 70k miles they said the engine mounts had collapsed. I'm not familiar enough with the way they should look to be able to tell from my own examination. Pads and rotors were all replaced in the last 10K miles.
