Unfortunately i am not in the US for an install but are you able to tell which lsd is required for an 03 clk55 without pulling the diff apart? Weistec doesn't seem to be able to help and wavetrac can't run VINs. Thanks.

Thanks, unfortunately I was hoping to know if I have the 210 or 215 without opening the diff up. Apparently someone thought it could be ascertained from the VIN.
I don't suppose you know the corresponding wavetrac part numbers for those quaife ones you have quoted?

I have both sizes diff's... I can tell what it is from the diff cover. its most like a 210mm email me a pic of the cover and if you can tel me the number on the side. I installed a quaife on both diff's. I personally like quaife.

This is the only serial number I can find while crawling under the car. It is on the back cover. I believe it is 210 351 30 08 G but I can't be 100% sure, the sub frame blocks it almost entirely. I guess 210 is a 210?
I am not sure if the following pictures help or not.
I am just hoping to be as sure as I can that I order the correct part before I take the differential out to avoid having to remove it twice. Of course I will order it from someone who would happily exchange it for the correct one if it is wrong, I'll just have to wait 3+ weeks for shipping.
