New Shoes for Gladys
In prep for my visit to Kleemann USA in a couple of weeks thought Gladys needed a new pair of shoes. Having a Kleemann SC, Swain Tech coated MBH long tubes and a Quaife LSD installed. Wheels are OZ Racing Formula HLT 19X8.0 fronts 19X9.5 rear with Michelin Pilot Super Sports all round. Really changes the look of the car, as well as handling. Happy with the way the entire package turned out. Better pics later to show how the painted Brembos really pop. Now I need to touch up the chips in the trim

Very nice FF,
Gladys looks charmed, and new skins always puts a new enhancing feel to the car.
I really enjoyed the DIY on the brake calipers, I am not a copy cat but we can't argue with success. Getting prepped for front brakes with rotors finally.
Cheers

Yeah - I got it! Just trying different looks. My plan is in a couple of years you wouoldn't recognize her at all. But want to avoid all resemblances to being a "ricer," !!

Chappy - whatever... I think you'll agree it's a pretty clean car, tastefully done. My first mods have all been performance-based. I don't think too many would argue with the expense of having Cory install an original Kleemann autorotor S/C (the last one Kleemann owns), having MBH long tube headers Swain Tech coated and installed, along with a Quaife LSD - topped off with a Kleemann tune. None of that has to do with aesthetics - stickers in particular. So before you begin running your suck over HP, settle down, take a breath, and get a clue.

megacrazy - my experience with the Eurcharged ECU/TCU tune was OK. Didn't notice any significant jump in HP, but the power and torque delivered at the lower end would definitely set you back in your seat, and leave most stock vehicles in the dust. It would literally pop off the line. Then some indie shop re-coded the car on a standard service B, and I haven't had the time or inclination to do a remote tune. I'll see how all the Kleemann mods come out and give you a comparison, but I doubt there will be much to discuss!

Since I got the S/C, headers and Quaife all at the same time it's hard for me to comment on headers alone. I think Cory said they're worth an extra 20-25 hp. I may be selling my Kleemanns if I can get the MBH long tubes to work. Good price to a good home. It'll be about two weeks. I'll PM you when I've worked out the set up to see if you're interested.

Since I had the EC tune on an N/A car, and the Kleemann tune on an S/C car I can't make any real comparisons on head-to-head tunes.
On the N/A with EC tune I think I was making a little over 300 RWHP. With the Kleemann S/C and tune I was at 440 RWHP with 443 TQ. And that's at 7,000 ft altitude on 91 octane. At sea level with 93 octane I'm probably doing a little better.
I don't like quoting dyno numbers for a variety of reasons - but esp because each system is different so there's no straight comparison. I'd rather compare how and where the car makes its power. The EC power band is flatter, and the air/fuel ratio not as tight. Kleemann tune power band much steeper, but the TQ band was unbelievable - peaked early and arched all the way across to max power, making torque through the entire power band! But that's with forced induction. So as I said, direct comparisons are tough.

I'll try and get a good pic tomorow. Won't be the best. My daughter is borrowing the truck to move home from college, so Gladys has been forced to endure inclement weather - normally Gladys doesn't do rain. Rims & calipers may have some road film but it should give you a good idea. The OZ wheels really show off the burnt copper Brembos nicely.

DiceCedes - how are you planning on having your calipers done? I painted mine with a rattle can. Pleased with the results, and a year later only a couple of minor chips. I'm thinking later this season to have them powder coated. I've also run across vinyl caliper wrap by a company called Ikon. The only problem I see is that it's reflective - a little too garish for my taste. Good luck with the project.
