Gladys Gets a Kleemann
Took a road trip from Washington, DC to Colorado Springs to have Cory & Brandon of Kleemann USA install a S/C, SwainTech MBH long tubes and a Quaife LSD.
Gladys sans front bumper and intake manifold. Ready to have the S/C installed.
Cory custom fabricating a part. That's the reason for taking the time to drive all the way out to the Kleemann USA office - to have Cory and Brandon do the install. Cory has installed more Kleemann blowers than anyone in North America - if not the world. Craftsmanship is a dying art, but much appreciated when it's found.
Final prep on the S/C prior to install.
Cory and Brandon installing the S/C.
And there it is! Next up are the headers, then the Quaife. Should have everything installed, dyno'd and on the way back home by Friday! More to follow...

Quick update: Install is complete. I've got about 100 road miles on the car - UFB! Ran into a technical difficulty with the MBH long tubes that's being worked out, so I had them install Kleemann shorties. Note in the attached pic the subtle bend in the exhaust. Sound at 1-3000 RPM is civil but throaty. Above 3000 it's just unbelievable! Significant increase in power - a completely different car. I've only opened it up once. Nothing official but a slow roll to 90 mph felt well shy of 4 seconds!
Cory installing the Kleemann shorties. The reputation of Kleemann USA established by Brandon and Cory is well deserved. The attention to detail, the level of knowledge and expertise on these cars is unparalleled, the patience to do it over, and over again until it's right. My recommendation, if you're even thinking of installing a blower, save yourself the time and money in the long run and just take a trip to visit Kleemann USA.

Photo of installed Kleemann shorties. Didn't get a shot of Cory working on the Quaife - he's too fast! The sound is awesome!
Brandon & Cory posing with the last original Kleemann Lysholm Autorotor S/C to be installed in the world. Can't say enough about the professionalism, expertise and care these guys put into every step of the project. Thanks to both of you, Lacie, Hunter and Ash for the hospitality!

Thanks Gator! One thing I realized going in was that she is a cabrio. Heavy, a bit loose, and as a result not all that quick. But afterwards I can tell you she's a completely different vehicle!
I knew it was the last original Lysholm Autorotor Kleemann USA had on the shelf. During the install Cory informed me it was the last one in the entire Kleemann inventory! No claim to fame, but it is the last of an era that helped define the Kleemann name in the United States. Proud that Gladys was the recipient - and that Cory and Brandon got to do the install. I can't say enough about these guys. Some would call them anally autistic - I'll simply say they are true professionals. I'm an old union cement finisher from Illinois. I know good work when I see it, and recognize craftsmen working thier trade. These two guys are master craftsmen! "nuff said!"

Awsome! Congratulations. Please post some videos later down the road when you get a chance, 0-60, 0-100 etc. It's such a pity they don't use the twin screw anymore.

Yep - got the Kleemann ECU tune with the cost of the blower. Inquired about TCU tune. Cory said not to worry unless I intended to autocross or track it - neither of which I plan on doing. Just want to toast some kid in a riced-out Subaru!!

If you've got a Kleemann installed I strongly suggest you do. Straight scoop with no BS. they not only know the Kleemann brand better than any in the U.S., but their background on MBs is damn near encyclopedic!
Watching Cory move around a car is like watching a surgeon. Not a wasted motion - and he moves fast! The thing that impressed me was the way he would do something, check it, take it off, modify it, do it again, until he was happy and it was right.
When they say a Kleemann USA install looks factory, that's what they mean! Everything is bundled, clipped, tucked and threaded for aesthetics and efficiency.
The aftermarket world is full of shieshters - Cory and Brandon are the real deal!

I was fortunate to meet the Kleemann crew when I had a SC/Smog issue, see post below:

I had to drive over 1000 miles to have them look over my car and I'm glad that I did. In all my years of dealing with Mercedes Tuners/Aftermarket, Kleemann BY FAR (I mean it's not even close) were the best when it comes to Customer Service, attentiveness, attention to detail and "after the sale" support! To this day, I email Cory when I have questions about my ride and he responds quickly!
When I get my next Mercedes, Kleemann is who I will go to for my mods!

Can't say enough about Cory and Brandon! I've had the same positive experience as you guys.
Class Acts!
I don't have my clk55-kleemann anymore.... but I can say they made my ownership experience possible, and fun.
Cheers.
