newest member to the w209!

just picked up an 05 black clk55.

1 owner 72k miles from a local dealer here. asking 17k got it for 14.8k

some things i need to change:

valve cover gaskets
plugs and wires
rotors are kind of low (i know they are pricey)
oil change
tires

I've been a member here since 2006

I've owned
1998 clk320
2001 bmw 330ci
2005 bmw 530
2006 bmw 330
2008 c300
2006 cls500

and now this..ive wanted a w209 forever and finally found the right one.

I'm leaving for korea in a week so car will be stored for a while...figured value isn't going to change much and if i find one i like I'm going to buy it..which i did

car is stock besides some aftermarket benz wheels

ill post pictures later tonight or tomorrow

I'm still going to be part hunting while I'm in korea so if there are any group buys going on I'm down!

I'd add a transmission service to your list, as well as new breather hoses, and resealing the breather covers. Consider RacingBrake two-piece rotors when you get to the brakes.

I'm definitely going to get a set of those! Do you have hids in them or just regular xenon bulbs? How long have you had them? Any issues?

I do have HIDs in the low beams as they come with them pre-installed - I've had them now for almost a year and I can tell you that before install you should just replace the ballasts with a quality ones as I got many errors with the ones that came with them - I replaced everything except the bulbs with TRS stuff and never have had any more issues - I haven't tried HID's in the highbeams as some have suggested against it so I kept the regular halogens for those. Hope that helps ... I do love the dual projector look tho over stock halogen look so its a MUST for your car!!!
