05 clk55 key fob not working, keyless go works but no lock/unlock
I've tried changing out the batteries, but the lock/unlock function is still not working. Keyless go still works though. What the heck is wrong?? help!
Thanks...

Does yours still work through IR? mine was only working using IR on the drivers door, and now it works 50% of the time doing that as well (I've just left it unlocked a few times).
The only thing I can think of is the door handle itself, others have said that can solve it.
If you swap that out and it fixers the issue let us know as I'll probably do the same.

No it doesn't work through IR either. Ive been using the blade key to lock/unlock
Do you think getting a new key fob from the dealer might work?

My keyless go still works so that tells me the key is fine. So if you have that feature and the car still starts, your key should be ok.
From what I have found, the door handle itself may be the best option.

After searching a bunch of posts here, it looks like you might be right. Gotta find a door handle and get it painted now. Hopefully i can get this done soon...

if the diode on the remote flashes its probably fine. I would remove the circuit board and inspect it for damage components from the remote. Also just try disconnecting and reconnecting the battery to aid with resetting the doors perhaps? You can open the doors if the keyless entry works as long as the car can pick up the key. You can also lock it by pressing the button on the handles once which should lock the car. Mine works like that except on the driver side as my handle is screwed.

Came here to find answered to my problem. one of the keyfobs doesn't work at all (unlock/lock/keyless starting) but when inserted manually and turned my car starts. Is it just a battery problem (before I run out and change them)?
- edit -
ran out, got new batteries, works like a charm.

I would first start with the battery of the key fob. If that don't work then disconnect the car battery and reconnect it using the correct procedure pls and then reset the windows, turn to turn steering and the sun roof. I did this and it worked perfect until the darn driver side door handle acted up.
Now I can open the car through the boot, through the passenger side. Lock the car through both of those and start the car with key in pocket. Only the driver side does not work at all. Will change the handle in the future hopefully
