We actually tune all the maps and not just WOT so you will see the same gains no matter how you are driving and similar gains in every gear. (which is exactly what you want)

Check/change your filters and rerun a dyno and you should see mild peak changes. Well I guess you can't please everyone, but I do recommend you find a graph from kleeman or RT on their tune and compare before making harsh statements.

I guess overall I am pretty confused by your statements. We have tuned thousands of cars (well over 7000 to date) and we really don't hear people complaining about top end hp missing when they gain over 100tq and 50hp in the low range were you would actually use it day to day and not just at WOT or the track.

also, lets take a look at advertised gains from kleeman as you indicated you wanted to go

CLK 55 (W208) Stock Performance:

342 HP @ 5500 RPM; 376 LB-FT @ 3000 RPM

Gains:

352 HP @ 5500 RPM; 390 LB-FT @ 3000 RPM

now remembering that this is measured at the crank and estimating 18% dt loss to the wheels that gives you

8whp at 5500 12wtq at 3000rpm

do looking at your dyno you made approx 10x more torque and about the same HP for a few hundred dollars less

Here is the rt link for reference

Thank you for the info on the Kleemann and Renntech tunes. At this point for my CLK the deed is done. I was under the impression that I would gain an additional 20 peak hp. It is ny fault and I take full and complete responsibility for not doing more research (or asking you guys for more info) before I bought the tune. Like I said, live and learn. I will do more research on parts/tunes on my next AMG purchase.

Just did my tune this morning. Thankfully it all went perfectly, borrowed the GF's windows 10 laptop. I definitely feel like the changes resemble the dyno on the previous page. There seems to be a significant increase in torque around 1500-4000rpm. For daily driving and spirited canyon runs this is an awesome addition. I would definitely recommend it but of course if you want to focus on top end power you need headers and to modify the intake.

None for now
Glad you felt the difference. I didn't feel mine the first time so I had to email them for another flash.

After that, it's been great! I gained 30+ LB/FT and 30 HP along with my exhaust.

I should have waited until Monday to reflash my ECU. Car won't start.

Same thing happened when I loaded a tune on my old C32. Eurocharged had it up and running in no time. Always helps not being on the other side of the world too.

Incredible tune.
The TCU tune works like a champ.
EC ECU tune works even better my fuel mileage dropped but may be from my O2 bank 2 bung, to be changed.
All power/torque is readily on demand now with instant downshifts and a favorable converter lockup.
Next a mod to blue top solenoids. pricey though

Much Applause to EC and team.

Gator,

Thank you for the update on the TCU tune. I am considering it for my next mod. I just finished a Eurocharged ECU tune on my my 05 CLK55 right after I had installed Kleemann headers and custom exhaust. After installing the headers and exhaust I had Eurocharged tune for my modifications. I was impressed by the power made by the headers and exhaust, the tune made it amazing. I haven't dyno'd my car since making the mods but seat of the pants it's a night and day difference.

Did you have an ECU tune by them before the headers and exhaust?

gofisch,

I did not have the Eurocharged ECU tune before before making the header/exhaust mods so I can't compare before and after. What I can tell you is the tune definitely made a difference combined with the headers and exhaust. I did the headers first because the stock manifold's are so restrictive. Replacing these are the key to unlocking the potential HP in your car. Tuning with the right mods made a substantial difference.

Here's why I asked. I did the ECU and TCU tune and purchased Headers. The ECU and TCU tunes are now on the car and running fine. I will be having the Headers installed and doing a Cat back system too. I asked about doing a reflash after the Header and Cat back installation and was told I did not need to do one since the mods would only change air flow and the ECU would adapt to those without a reflash.

Interesting when I spoke to Eurocharged they wanted to know what mods I had so they could adjust the tune to the modifications. They said they would reflash for $35 if I did any other modifications.

I would love for someone from one of the Eurocharged office's to respond to this and clear it up. I really don't mind paying the $35 IF it will enhance the modifications I intend to add on.

I was told the same thing.

You need a change in "tune" at least to delete the oxygen sensor error code from removing the cats if you get full or lengths. Shorties shouldn't affect it at all.

Hmmm, this just gets more interesting for me. They told me not to remove the secondary cats because I would get an error code. They didn't mention that they could delete the code with a tune.

The oxygen sensors are on either side of the primary cats. Yes they can definitely delete the code.

$35 for a retune and you should for the mods. You dont have to but it's always best to have the pefect software for the car.

We can turn your cell off for you by coding the o2 but you won't pass emissions. I would suggest leaving them on, and then just throwing o2 extensions on. It will not trigger a code and you will be good
