This forum definitely doesn't have the volume of the Bimmerforums...
....but that's not entirely unexpected: there aren't nearly as many CLK55's out there as there are Bimmers.
Look on the bright side, though: the noise factor here is much lower!!

Don't forget to browse the W209 forum also. Sure its not a AMG forum, but I still find great things in that section for my car!
Its also hard to start topics that haven't been beat to death in older threads. I do alot of searches here and find great info.
See, like right now I would love to rant about how crappy my radio is, but its all been done before. (I'm too cheap right now to spring for a new system)

What is wrong with your radio (which car are you talking about anyway??)

Actually nothing wrong with the radio....just the sound sucks. Its the radio in my CLK55. I really loved the radio system in my W208. For stock it had a nice sound to it. But this W209 radio is the worst. No highs, no lows...must be BOSE. Of course I know the solution, pimp that radio hard!!! Time for a real system. Subs and Amps and the whole nine yards. Too much $$$$ to do right now!
Other than that (oh yeah, and the pull to the right) I love the car!
Just livening up the forum!!

Is this the same type problem as being experienced on the W211 E-Class? Evidently, a new set of bolts will solve this problem.

What bolts do I need? What do I tell my service guy?
Black330i.....never heard the cab's sub, but I do know someone on this board named "cliffeybaby"(sp?) put a sub and amp in his trunk and made a world of difference. Thats my next step. Not sure about the retro fit of the cab sub.

Well, some on this board will jump on me if I don't post the information 'correctly'...meaning my time slip with a photo of my car and the car number clearly visible....plus the VIN and my thumbprint on there too...
FWIW, my times were about .2 seconds slower than my run in November (do a search)....I'm guessing due to the fact that it was 85+ degrees outside. Track temp was even higher! Overall, I am a novice at the drag strip....me, being a dipshxt, left the A/C on for the first run.
Seriously, let's just say I had a GREAT DAY hanging out with some awesome cars and meeting some fun folks.
If others have 'all the right stuff' for posting their results, I'll make sure to post a like here....

One more interesting thing....at the drag race that day there was a brand new Pontiac GTO (with the Corvette motor). I was expecting it to do better than it was (low to mid 14s) with the 6-speed. Looked pretty nice, though.
