just bot a 2004 CLK55 WOW!!!!!
i just bought it on saturday afternoon, the car is unreal!! can't wait to brake it in. now my wife wants one as well, which is cool. we currently own a 2002 S-430 which we will trade for my wifes 55, and a 2002 c-320, as well as a 2004 range rover. i will miss my S-430 a bit for the smooth ride which actually i get out of the range rover, but look forward to years of really great expirences driving the clk55! i would love to know if any of you live in south florida and know of anywhere i can go and drive fast? "without my radar on" speaking of which any recommendations for a built in radar detector. i have a valintine and its great but i would rather have something internal. as well anyone have satellite raiod? i look forward to being part of the group!

Thanks for all the feedback! I'll look into the places suggested to drive fast! going to try to break it in within the next couple of weeks, its hard not to step on it. but at the same time as i am sure you all know it doesn't take much stepping!

congratulations on your new purchase.. once you go AMG, you never go back.. what color is your car? and V1 is the way to go.. anything built in is just not worth the extra costs when it gives you the same performance at the V1.. stick with it.

Congrats on the 55, just got mine a couple of months ago......my first MB.......LOVE IT!!!!!
Have not seen any '04 CLK 55s yet, I'm up in Broward, but will keep my eye out for ya.......

i'll take a few pics over the weekend and post them. its black and charcol with ill plates, my wife and I bought our house in miami 6 months ago, we'll be down full time in September. man i can't stop thinking about how tight and powerful the car is! the drive south will be great. WOW!! once again

Thanks!! it feels great to be able to own one. i never realized how special AMG is. my car is black with charcol interior. can't help buying black, even though all my other cars are black. i agree with you about the V1, it saved my butt so many times. i'll have to have it wired so it will be easy to clip on the visor. my wife will be getting a pewter clk 55, 05 at the end of july. i wonder how much different it will be? i couldnt wait that long once i drove mine. i assume your's is silver via the photo. what have you added on? how fast have you gone?
