Tomorrow is the deadline for me to make any changes on my CLK55 order. As it stands right now, the car will be Alabaster White with Charcoal/Dk Blue two-tone interior. I have chosen the Lighting Pkg., Active Ventilated Seats, DVD Nav. and Keyless Go. I am not getting the Parktronic, Rear Sunshade, Phone or CD changer. I wanted to see what you guys think of the color combo. My last car was Brilliant Silver and I want to go with something unique this time around. Any imput will be appreciated (Good or Bad)!!!

Doesn't the rear sunshade come with the glass moon roof?

Why no CD?

I love the white and think ash interior looks best w/ it. Not so sure about the charc and blue.

On the 55, the sunroof is standard and not part of a package like the 320 & 500. Only in the sunroof pkg. do you get the rearshade included. As for the CD, the new Nav. system has a single CD player and I have found that I listen to the radio way more than audio CD's. However, in this car I will be mounting my iPod, so the CD changer would be useless!

I give you a thumbs up for your choice. Sounds like a good one. The CD changer would be nice, but whatever makes you happy.

A darker/metallic blue wouldn't be a too bad of a choice for such a car. Do CLK's come with Distronic? Maybe different wheels.

Isn't it that the CD would cost you only about $450 compared to $500 in the future. It wouldn't hurt your financing, and would help the re-sale in the future. Just my thought

beautiful color combo marcus. Do you know when the C55 are gonna be hitting the showrooms and what their msrp will be yet? And cd player is added at the dealership correct? you could always add that later if you feel the need.

Get the sunshade and go with the ash....Blue and white sounds nice now but can you look at it every day?? It may look good on paper but think about 6 months down the road and resale value!!...I would not buy it.......Just my 2 cents as you requested.

I appreciate everyones imput so far and I have seriously consider Parktronic. The reason that I am not going to get it is due to the fact that I did not have it on my W208 & never run into anything, so why pay the extra $1080? As for Distronic, it is not an option for the CLK55, but would not get it even if it was. In So.Cal. the traffic is so bad it would be a waste of $3k!! I originally had the rear sunshade in the order, but took it out because I will be tinting the windows and barely used it in my previous CLK. Now, about resale, I thought about that, but I will be leasing this one for 36 or 48 mos and don't see myself trying to get out early. The CD changer was probably the most difficult choice. The reason I am not going to get is because I only used it a handful of times in my other car. I find that the I listen to the radio more than CD's and if I want to listen, I still have the single disc. Again, thanks for the replies and now just have to wait a month and a half to start enjoying it!!!!!

Thanks and for the C55, they should be arriving in late July to early August. We have two cars in production and only one is spoken for at the moment! Yes, the CD can be added later as all the cars are pre-wired for that option.

Mark that sounds good. Alabaster 55 is going to be hot, especially with quads and the nicer 18" amg's.

Im not 100% sure but from the recent photos ive seen i think they will indeed have quads and 18's.

Just a note on the rear sunshade. I have my windows tinted, and I use the rear sunshade all summer long when parked and it really reduces interior temperautre...and I live in Iowa! lol Just something to think about!

Marcus: have you ever considered the "Lolith Blue", I saw that color on the sample plate at a dealership the other day, the salesman told me that its a new color for the 209 in '05. I think that color looks STUNNING!!!!!! Or is Designo Mocha Black available for the 55? I think that is a very cool color too!!!!

I agree that you should get the sunshade. The hot chick behind you never noticed that you're looking at her from the rear view mirror!!! Forget about the Parktronic, IMO, it is a feature that tells people that you cant parallel park! Hahaha!!! Sorry, TJ!

Yes, I got the e-mail and am in the process of trying to get to the bottom why it is not there in the 1st place. Does his car have the SAT button on the COMAND? If it does, then the wiring harness will be provided via the warranty. If it does not, then we have some bigger fish to fry and not sure if I can resolve the problem. Let me know!!!

Well, I decided not to get the rear sunshade, nor the Parktronic. Sorry to disappoint some of you on the board, but I truely appreciate all of the imput!!! I really have no regrets about the sunshade, but the Parktronic I am still on the fence. The deciding factor was the exterior color that I chose. I feel that the sensor in the bumpers will be too noticible with the White!
