My 2001 CLK55 has one touch down functions, but not one touch up. I took it into the dealer but they said that it wasnt a feature on the car. I tend to disagree because the window switches have 2 detents both for up and down.

Does anyone know when the CLKs came out with a one touch UP and DOWN feature?

I dont think it really matters, but my sunroof is one touch open. And for safety reasons, I know the one touch close is NOT a feature on purpose.

I think doors that are "frameless" does not have one touch up feature (at least on older model cars, maybe on the 209). My ex-CLK430 doesnt have one-touch up either.

the 209s have one touch feature both directions. With anti-pinch feature.. i haven't tested it though :o

My 2001 CLK55 has one-touch up windows, which rarely work properly. I believe there was a tech bulletin to replace the window controller module to correct the problem.

You may need to sync your windows; this involves rolling the window down, then holding the switch down for a few seconds. Then roll the window up, and hold the switch up for a few seconds.

Having detents on the switches for auto up and down is no indication of the feature. Some cars have the detents without the feature.

My 2002 W208 CLK55 has the one-touch up feature on my windows. According to the MBUSA website, your 2001 CLK55 also had this as a standard feature......

FWIW, the 1999 CLK430 did not offer this. However, the feature was standard on all 2000-2002 CLK430s.

MY 2000 for the CLK430 and CLK55s. I did not look up the CLK320s.

BTW, I believe your auto-up feature can be disabled. Do a search as this topic has been discussed in detail.

I drove around in a 1999 CLK430 for 4 years and I can't for the life of me remember how the windows worked. Sucks gettin' old.
