sagging glove box lid. Fix suggestions?
I've noticed that the glove box lid doesn't close tightly and this causes misalignment which is noticeable. I can push it closed farther and it aligns perfectly. I've noticed this on many pictures of CLK's so it must be a common failure. The cause is that the inside striker plate made of black plastic is loose and not tightly held in place. I see no screws to tighten to fix the problem. My fix would be to put JB Weld into a syringe and neatly glue the striker plate in place.
Are they any better ideas on how to fix it correctly?

Thanks.. but the glove box door lowers fine. The problem is the loose striker plate that is suppose to hold the door closed. I'll snap a pic of it tomorrow.
