Sway bar bushing help!

Hey guys I'm looking to get front inner sway bar bushings for my 2001 ClK55 AMG as I am about to replace the control Arms with new poly bushings.

finding the inner bushings is proving to be hard enough, but i was wondering if anyone knew somewhere other than pelican parts for oem and whether strongflex UK was the only current producer of poly inner and outer front sway bar bushings?

i remember a company who comments on the forums about upgraded poly stuff, anyone know who they are? Was hoping to get this completed in the next couple of days so any help would be great, thanks!!!!

Since we're talking about sway bars... Does anyone know if Eibach provided the factory bars for the AMG 55? My car had an Eibach sway bar but everything else on the car was 100% stock when I bought it. I'm wondering if it was an upgrade or if they all had them.

quik55, can you look to see if your bar has Eibach stamped on it? It would be right in the middle, stamped in white letters.

I never noticed anything like that on mine. Strangely though they made OEM euro springs that were lower and my card did end up with those.

Joe, I gotchu. When I originally did my front end I was working at a foreign auto shop. New Canaan foreign car in CT, would recommend for any repair or track prep need. One of the techs remarked eibach sway bar. I said damn that's sick my clk has aftermarket **** on it. In a way yes but absolutely no. Thru research which homos will tell you to do on here... I found AMG actually used eibachs sway bars on the car stock from factory, I've seen the stamp on the bar myself but have since obviously sanded it off before rust reforming the bar, but I saved the part #. Eibach or Benz supposedly no longer make the bar but it was original eibach. I believe I went with Canadian springs over theirs on my cobalt and a guy who"drove and raced" with Senna tried to sell me his bars off his cobalt but it fizzled, and so I've only ever run H&R springs and spacers even bought my buddy a pair of springs for his wedding so while I can't say Eibach is good, it is on our car and the bar has held up better than 06 e46 M3 stock and "zcp" or whatever is better than the M ever did years ago.

***referbed wheels, and redid all suspension work due to a FEBI drag link that went bad before 5k miles. From FCPEuro. Also had a genuine Benz water pump go bad after 5k miles and the "lifetime warranty replacement" go bad after 100 miles. So be safe guys.

stamped AMG but definitely Eibach original

only way I believe to get them now a days is thru H&R 28MM front

good luck Joe!

haven't test ridden fully since I burnt the passenger spring perch a little bit supper pissed about the cheap febi drag link going bad and the super duper cheap control arms being perfectly fine

cheers

C43 AMG with a tune up
Febi parts are neither good or quality parts anymore.
They are Turkish or made in China.

Stay away from Meyle and Febi.

Lol will soon confirm that I spent so much time money and effort chasing down a bad febi drag link that went bad with less than 5k miles.

the ball joints and quality of the link were so poor it's not funny, shouldn't be on any Mercedes let alone an AMG. Drag link replaced oem with oem dampener and lemfoerder ball joints which seem good quality and for actual road use compared to the febi.(I Have gotten lemfoerder boxed parts from fcp euro actual genuine oem Benz with just the star gouged out)

quite confident this cause me such a headache. Steering and all around feel is a world of difference. Not even comparable. The shot oem link I got in the car originally felt better than the brand new febi 😂😂😂

on the other hand tho, while in comparison to lemfoerder or possibly original arms...the cheapo $79 a piece control arms might feel soooo cheap and bad in comparison but of all the genuine benz new and remand etc of the thousands and thousands of dollars in parts to the car after 12k+ miles they held up the best. Other than snapping the super cheap sway bar bushing bracket studs when overtightening.

Nothing wrong with them, highly recommend.

but yeah stay away from febi. Except other than these bushings which we will see how they do. Did not want to go poly as I didn't want to squeak. Considering them for rear.
