My new Beast has arrived!!!!!
The car was delivered to the store this morning & I watched them unloaded off the truck. I am so exicted that I can hardly concentrate on my work today! I have been outside looking, just starring until I went cross-eyed!!

The brakes are great, they are multi-piece rotors like the 65's!!! and the sound of the exhaust is a beautiful low rumble. It makes me feel like I am driving an old muscle car of the late 60's!!!

I wish!!! If that were the case, I would be getting the E55. MBUSA lets employees buy the car at dead cost including the "hold back". This equates to about 12.25% off the MSRP price less GG tax & Destination.

I have the illuminated "AMG" door sills that will be installed tomorrow along with an authentic AMG flat hood badge, alumium door pins and All Weather floor mats. In a day or so, the windows will be tinted and I am going to wait a month or so to install new rims & lowering springs.

congratulations, look GREAT!!! The '05 upgrades are awesome! I didnt know that the instrument panel was changed too, speedo goes to 200 and a redline was added to the tach...right?or was that how the '04 was?

I want to hear impressions of how the brakes feel.
I was thinking of upgrading to the C55 in a year but now I might save up my pennies and go for the CLK55 instead.

I really appreciate all the nice comments about my car!! I am extremely happy with how the color combo. turned out. Also, I am glad that I waited for the MY05, the quad exhaust alone makes the car look like a true AMG and the DVD Nav. system is light years ahead of what was in my W208. As for the breaks, I have not tested them out completely, but that will come with a little time. I am very particluar with the break-in period of not reving the car over 4k rpm until I have passed 1K miles. Once that is behind me, let the fun begin!!!!!!!
