A question about lowering W208 on 18's Monoblock II wheels

As some of you may know, my car came with the factory 18" Monoblock II wheels.
The wheels are
Front: 18x8 ET31 with factory fitted 225/40R18 tires
Rear: 18x9 ET35 with factory fitted 255/35R18 tires
Has anyone lowered their car with these wheels and tires fitted?
Reason why I ask is because last year I decided to upgrade my tire sizes to
Front 235/40 and Rear 265/35
My car now rubs on the inner fender when reversing and turning. Which means that if I lower my car, it's gonna be a disaster.
So I am now considering going back to factory recommended sizes so as to enable me to lower the car. (The front sits way too high in my opinion, and with the 235's, I feel it's worse)
Let me know please.

If you go back to stock dimension 225/40/18 - 255/35/18?
I have the same tire size.
I have #1 pads in front and #3 rear pads, car fitted with lowering springs.
Wheel gap is perfect.
Ride comfort is beautiful and comfy.

hey Matt, just curious about your set up. What is your offset? Et front and rear. And are you running the 225 upfront or 235?
my 55 is lowered on bilsteins/h&r with same spring pads As you. I picked up set of w202 AMG wheels et 44 fr 66 rear.
im planning on doing 12mm spacers up front and 15mm rear to bring it to 32/31. Everyone says 265/275 fit in the back no problem but trying to confirm front ET as well as tire size with no rubbing at all.
thanks!
Front 225/40/18
Rear 255/35/18
It might rub or not depending on what tires you want to buy?
Need a good alignment aswell.
I don't like using spacers, they put the rims closer to fenders and stone chips could damage paint.

And replaced pads only?
Can I see some pictures of your car please?

If I decide to change from 235/40 to 235/35 fronts
&
from 265/35 to 265/30 rears...
Would my car sit lower without losing the slightly fatter look?

Lowered on H&R Sport, Yokoyama tires:
- 235/40 front, #2 pad - rarely I hear something, specially when the wheel is turned all the way left, but its minor and infrequent
- 265/35 rear, #1 pad, plus 12mm spacer - no rubbing, I think i could have gone to 15mm with no issues.
I couldn’t find a photo with Mono II's and not lowered, but here is stock suspension on stock 17"s vs. lowered on 18"s. You are absolutely correct, the front is way to high.
