Those are some impressive #'s.

What performance mods have you done to your car again?

The acceleration numbers are on par with the CL65 up to 100mph I reckon...

Could you please explain in layman terms what exactly been done to the 5.5 V8 to make the car as fast as it is and how much HP at the crank does it have....?

Thank you! Sub 10 second 0-100mph is monster territory!

I've heard several G-tech owners say the #'s can be a bit optimistic.

What are these proof runs? previous runs from the g tech don't count! Go and do a few runs at the track and you can then you should be able to compare the numbers from the timeslip and G Tech. 122Mph trap speed is suspiciously faster than an E55 especially since you are pretty much stock, it is going to raise a few eyebrows.

I have talked about my 1/4 track runs before. With a big wheel spin til 60ft taking up more than 2.5 sec, I would get to 110mph no sweat. Most people who visit here saw my actual slip. This one..

I had posted runs with no wheel spin what so ever. And the weather is very nice and freezing up here in Boston.

And what do you know about mods in my car? Just hush.

And please do not say that Gtech doesn't work and what not. It is a proven product to work for its generations. Let's not talk about nonsense like Gtech is blah blah blah. Get one and use it if the tracks are closed, which is my case. If you can't believe it then don't.

CLK320
nice run ! I have a Gtech pro and i use it on my CLK320 with some engine mods on it. I post the result before but still some ppl dont think its real. Anyways i think Gtech is great tool to measure performance. At least if two owners both use Gtech, they will have results that are comming from Gtech and can compare the result. Or at least you can find out you got some hp gain after some mod.

JLee,

Please don't take offense, but what I think he means (above) is that based on what the mods you have listed (EVO pulley and Kleemann headers), the fact your car is running faster than say a SL55 or E55 (both w/493HP) doesn't really add up.

IMHO, I don't think that's possible unless you've had some other significant modifications done. I'm not saying you're lying or anything, but that "perhaps" the GTECH isn't perfectly accurate.

If your car displays sufficient "squat" under hard acceleration this would cauld some of the G's of gravity to ne interpreted as forward motion G's (as the G-tec would tilt silghtly) & would lead to in accurate readings. Also going uphill would also get gravity involved in the triple-axis accelerometer G reading's.

One of my buddies with a stockish Subaru Sti got 0-60 in 3.5 & 11.8 1/4 mile with the exact same model G-tec you have due to these issues. I suggest using the calibration procedure to compensate for vehicle lift or to run at a strip to compare.

However, a G-tec can be a valuable tool if you want to compare before & after numbers provided you do it on the exact same road & conditions & calibrate it the same.

Fast Cars!
Great numbers, but u really need to take it to the track for very accurate numbers. I have heard g-tech's sometimes off by a couple tenths!!!!!

I still have a brand new G-Tech Pro in the box. I have yet to set it up and use it! Why? Because the instructions provided with the unit clearly state that all measured runs must be done on a perfectly level strip, or testing area, or the readings will not be accurate. Being that there's no real easy way to determine if a road is truly level, I figure that the G-Tech is all but useless for accurate timing. I'd love to believe that JLee's times are accurate, as I have a CLK55 that's going to have similar mods, but I suspect that the G-Tech wasn't accurate...

Best regards,
Matt

Dear ///AMG Merc.
Since you said you would like to have similar mods, I would like to tell you something. If I had a chance I would save money and go for the supercharger instead of this header and downpipe setting.
It was not that simple no matter what the distributors could tell you.
I experienced it and I am having a difficult time with the kit.
The installation is done but my check engine light keeps coming back
I am experiencing backfire,or some light banging noise at the end of the muffler which probably resulted in random engine misfire. Be careful. I am working on it and Kleemann USA is aware of my issue.
I have sent my ECU once as well. Good Luck. Yet.. I push my car really hard. ^^;
