So I was browsing through the net for rear AMG badges for my car. I obviously was looking for genuine badges and came across this part number which is being advertised by many vendors. The issue is, this part number is being used to sell different badges. In fact, I came across even a hood ornament and trunk star with this number.
Is it that difficult to find period correct AMG badge for our cars?

Note, part # starts with 222 so I am guessing this badge is mainly (but not specific) to the S Class W222. Bu here is the product I was looking at advertised with the same part number and NO WAY it's being offered for the W222.
Other parts being sold with same number. Ebay doesn't think there's anything wrong with it, I reported it and they came back and said it doesn't violate anything.
Here's the funny part, I decided to order it for sh**s and giggles and got a completely different part LOL
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the new AMG logo never came on the W220
So the dumb bum sends out another one and claims it's the "correct part" this time. Today it arrived and boom, it's the same part that doesn't match any of the seller's descriptions.
I have purchased from that type of seller on eBay. I got a red "S"...the listing has OEM packaging in the images. The emblems are okay....they are NOT OE quality...you would not know from 6' away. All in all, I am quite happy with my red S.

Typical Chinesium counterfeit parts. You just have to go by looks and hopefully it works. The boxes and labels are there for "authenticity", the part numbers are usually bs...
