2005 CLK55 Cab
new 2005 55 cab
I just bought a 2005 55 cab this weekend. I had a CLK500 on order, but my heart told me to go with what I really wanted. I couldn't get past the difference in sound between the 500 and the 55.
Last night put the top down and cruised the Christmas lights in town.

congratulations!
i'm debating on getting a new 55 cab myself.
saw one this weekend at w.i. simonson in santa monica that was also black.
and you're right - that engine makes my 430 sound like a honda.
can't wait to see pics.
if you don't mind my asking, what kind of deal did you get?

i am not ashamed to say I paid sticker $87500 . They wouldn't budge, and had to get it from another dealership via "trade" . I plan on keeping this a long time and I am ecstatic to finally get an AMG. what a car -

I am also fortunate that the timing was right for me because I had the funds. If you build the car on mbusa.com with the options, the price is exactly the same as what I paid ( sticker ). Seems "markup" is approx 6% - per what the dealers books showed - on the inventory list.

I love how the cab 55's sounds, you get just a bit more throaty exhaust rumble inside the car. Fantastic choice.

no plans yet. just enjoying the ride...
what i found is nice is the AUX port on the command - my ipod plugs right in.
what are some of the more popular mods on the stock clk55

i had the designo package on order, but something about the silver is cool - like its part of the machine .... cold and intimidating.... i like !

had first race today
vs
Adelphia cable truck. The truck was way ahead of me and I beat him hands down although i was in sport mode - D and trying to find the right song on ipod.

The new ///AMG license plate frame added 3 hp .
I know i owe everyone pics. i'll try to get that done this weekend
