tires low

I noticed yesterday that my tires looked low, and wondered if the clk55 needed to have air in the tires more frequently - i've had the car for 2 months now. Both tires on the drivers side were low. The passenger side was fine. any thoughts ... hoping I don't have a slow leak or something odd. I don't recall running over anything -

Very slow leak. Or it could just be the weather changing.

Tires

I've also had problems with my tires. It seems to be a slow leak.
I've replaced 1 tire, patched another one up, and still seem to have
problems. The service advisor told me to keep filling the tire with air
more frequently!

$290 ea. is high if you're running stock size. Check TireRack for better prices.

In general, low profile tires tend to deflate faster than standard tires, and therefore need to be checked more frequently. Not quite sure why, but that is my experience.

Chappy is right about TireRack. The money you save by going through them far outweighs the cost of shipping.

Try eBay

Probably about right but you can often find these on eBay that are pull offs from other cars. I bought a pair of them for $100 one time (fronts I think) that were about 80% new. They come off BMW's and other performance carrs so it's not just the Benz. Shop around and see what you can get (or just pay tire rack the $300) depends on how **** you are about new tires.

What tires do you need? I can get them at a fairly decent price.

crap. i already got the tire. Tire Rack is much less. I would have saved $100 on the OE tire including shipping.

My PS2s in 225/45-17 (front) and 245/40-17 (rear) were less than $500 shipped for all four tires. Can you beat?

The answer is I bought them at a silent auction. I "won" a Michelin certificate good for 4 tires shipped to my home. My winning "bid" was $475

BTW, TireRack sent me a set of PS2s in August for about $725 shipped, after Michelin rebate.

Is this true? It seems my CLK 55 front tires need air alot. they always look low and when I check the pressures they always come in around 27 or 28 psi.
I guess I have to check them more frequently.
Funny thing is when I had the W208 CLK430 I hardly ever had to add air.

I just filled up the fronts to 30 psi this weekend and I will see how much they deflate in a few weeks.
