Thanks again for getting to a track and showing the 63 capabilities. You will go sub 12 seconds simply by heating your r comps a little more.
I heard your car in Los Angeles it sounded so good!!! Wish we had some video of that incredible machine..
Great runs, is this your first time at the "drag strip" obviously it is in your BS.
I have updated the data base and dragtimes.com

I will take pics of the slips during the week but here are the stats for my best two runs. Unfortunately I was only there for like two hours as I had to be back in the city and I really think I could have done a bit better as I kept having take off issues.
--------- M6 --- M6 - --- CLK63blackseries
R/T --- .408 --- 1.398 --- -1.07
60' --- 2.088 --- 2.05 --- 1.913
330 --- 5.486 --- 5.489 --- 5.217
1/8 --- 8.167 --- 8.188 --- 7.916
MPH --- 91.79 --- 90.65 --- 91.69
1000 -- 10.469 --- 10.492 --- 10.240
1/4 -- 12.394 --- 12.421 --- 12.195
MPH --- 118.31 --- 118.14 --- 118.7
I happened to have lined up with an awesome CLK 63 black edition so his times were on my slip and I figured I would post for comparison, was pretty cool racing one and only just barely losing. Also if he didnt jump the light he would have been barely ahead of me the whole time as opposed to the two car lengths he got due to the R/T

JIM,
did you run a higher trap than 117???????This has to be you how many BS could possibly be running on the same day?
I need all your slips man , looks like more records than I ever imagined on one day. Please post your highest trap speeds in the 1/8th and 1/4 I would like to add more than just your best ET.
Wow , 117 was about what I thought the top was stock, now I am looking at a 118 mph trap?????

On that run... the car went.... and went too soon....
12.195 sec 118.70 mph 1/4 with 7.916 sec 91.69 mph 1/8 mile and 60' 1.913 time.
I think that's when the wind died down for a short time guys.

The reaction time on the BMW was .408 (slow)
My over reaction time was -.107 (to fast)
That's why the 2 car lengths out of the hole.
On the top end it opened up to 4-5 car lengths.
Those BMW guys were cool had some fast tweaked cars.

Your the King man! el numero ono. And your car has more in her...
No matter what , its always interesting seeing a AMG on the drag strip, and especially a model many have never seen at the dealership or on the street. This was a mighty run and the top end is more than I had predicted possible. Now i am quite certain you can improve upon this run with 11.X and a 119.X trap.
Great runs ,
The atmosphere was pretty laid back for the rental.
Back to the thread - I am still so happy that I got to meet Jim (a class act) and see his CLK BS run. And so pleased that it was as quick and fast as it is. The timeslips (yes - very hard to read) are there and, in this case, so is video.
Putting together these rentals when you have a full time (8-8) job is a gigantic pain in the azz, but getting to meet Jim and seeing his machine at the track make it worth it.
I believe that with better track prep and lower tire pressures, that car could cut 1.7's and be in the 11's. When we have our next rental in March, my bet is that Jim does it. But like all racers know, it only happens when it happens. But if he never runs that car again, the CLK did an amazing job already.
1000lbs less???? thats silly bro, its a stock car and it weighs just slightly less than the Modded M6 it raced
M6 is 200 lbs less than a Black Series, a convertable is likely about the same weight .
Both cars were likely 4k lbs

You're right.......the Black Series is about 500 lbs. less then the M6 convertible. Btw, Convertible model are never weigh less or the same as the coupe model !!

The vert is about 500 more lbs Juice ... 4398 I think is the vert and the BS is under 4k....anyone got actual numbers?
M6 is about 3900 lbs (non vert)

The video clearly show you has about
