Brand new White Black Series at Smythe Mercedes

Smythe Mercedes in San jose CA has a white one. 138k window price, but by the way i was talking to the guy, there is definitely some wiggle room. his mannerisms definitely conveyed that the car can be had for mid/high 120s, about 10-12k off the window price.

still a bit out of my range for now, but a great deal for someone in the bay area. the car looks absolutely stunning in white, i think moreso than black because you can see the detail of the car more and the widebody stands out a little bit better.

His "mannerisms" conveyed to you a specific price? Did his left eye twitch 10-12 times?

dont patronize/disrespect me. that kind of attitude would make you exemplify the typical benz/bmw owner.

my post was to point out a great deal for someone in the bay area who is looking for a BS, and yours was completely unwarantied. show some class.

i was talking to him about a potential tradein with my car and the final price and he asked me what i wanted to pay for the car. i said mid 120s. he said, thats a possibility. we went over some paperwork to see what kind of financing they would offer me and i am going to do some comparison shopping with some banks this coming week.

LOL !!!! patronize, disrespect ???? Dude, quite taking yourself so seriously becasue nobody else does. I agree 100%, maybe you can start working for homeland security and not only identify terrorists but also read their minds based on their "mannerisms".
Gimme a break...and you clearly don't have much experience with CAR SALESMEN if you think when they say, "that's a possibility" actually means anything more than "sure chump". You took that one hook, line and sinker bro.

another arrogant *****. lol. man there are people who have 10 times nicer cars/more money than you who are 100x more humble. this is the last reply you will get because your lack of respect wont get another. i have done nothing to you and nothing but provide valuable insight to this forum. that means you will show me some respect. period.

you dont know half the conversation beacuse you werent there, and you will only know what i think you deserve to know at this point.

but heres the short version. could have got the car right then and there with 45k on my tradein and he said 130k for the benz. 85k financed at 7.9 percent.

now if i can find a better rate i might go for it.

im done with you. whether you have a black series or not, you will not earn my respect... that will go to the humble guy down the block with a used corolla.

Lack of respect ??? I'm sorry, I'm not the dip***** who came here claiming to read peoples minds based on their "mannerisms".

So, he asked you what you wanted to pay and he said that's a possibility...WOW, nice work....you call that "valuable inshight" ?? I call that nothing more then speculation. If you can actually get the car for $120k, then that might be something worth discussing. Until then you will get the respect you deserve.

Until he actually does purchase the car for $18,375 off sitcker, then it is just speculation. I have yet to hear of any dealer selling a BS for more than $1k off sticker and that was MAGWHEEL here and it was only done as a good faith gesture by the dealer to get his business.
Also, yes, these can be had at discounts....plenty to choose from on eBay. Hence the reason threads like this are getting a bit redundant without any actually purchase price figures.

never said anything about the 120k. if you read my post i said that when i threw out 130k he said that the car can basically be had for that price, and also at points in the conversation did i get the feeling that there was a bit more wiggle room... maybe a couple thousand... which would put the price before taxes to mid/high 120s.

all im saying is i would not be surprised if the car gets bought for 10k under sticker, which is why i am going to check around some local banks/credit unions for some rates. because even at 128k (10k off sticker) its a phonemonal price on a CLK63 BS, and esp in white which IMO is the best color for this car.

It could happen in the mid 120's. The housing market decline, jitters in the stock market, crashing dollar versus Euro, uncertaity about government, tax breaks, health care threats could well shrink the market. It is certainly happening at the bottom (eg 10% off Pontiac Solstice- which was hot very recently). 10% off $138,000 get's into what could loosely be called mid-120's. I paid full sticker, knowing well the liklihood of getting $5,000 off if I was willing to wait.
In any case, I think the original poster gave notice in good faith that someone here might take advantage of the opportunity.
I hope whomever buys it lets us know.
There will eventually be some poor soul with a divorce or similar tragedy unloading an essentially new car at a bargain. I wouldn't be surprised to see $120,000 or less for a car with 1,000 miles.
And, it wouldn't bother me at all. All of us early buyers know we bought in at the top of the market. AS

It will be interesting to see what happens when the supply dries up. Not sure when the factory shipments are complete – maybe they are now. I’ve noticed that the number of Black’s on ebay have gone down from an average of about 10 to 5 or 6 now. Seems like the economy will have an effect. All I know is that if I didn’t know about the car, and I saw one driving down the street, I’d be out to get one.

The typical benz/bmw owner has an attitude? Thats a pretty large group. I thought comments like that were reserved for Ferrari owners. Posting facts are useful. Generalizations about german car owners and conjecture about mannerisms are not.

2005E55AMGLOL.....

If you can get the car in the mid $120's jump on it. These cars are still fetching sticker or higher in the Chicago area.

Your biggest mistake was talking to your salesmen about your trade. You should know the rules of car buying 101, never mention your trade until you negotiate a CASH price first. Sure, the dealer will discount the new car and then they will discount your trade accordingly. Then if you let on that you want to finance, they may get you close to where you want to be on the purchase price as well as on your trade value and then screw you on the interest rate by buying points. The only way to really know what you paid for the vehicle is to handle the purchase the way I mentioned above...even then it is sometimes difficult to determine if you got a good deal or not.

Furthermore it's a $139k car, if you like it, buy it, whats $10,000-$15,000 in the overall picture? If you are letting $10,000 get in your way of buying the car, you probably can't afford it anyhow! BTW it really only gets about 9MPG, you better factor that into your budget as well.

In before the lock? lol

I couldn't help but laugh at this thread. Greetings from audizine......we know will pu (2005e55amglol) pretty well as he has been suspended numerous times and banned from our site as well as bimmerforums I believe.

He talks out his *** and doesn't even own his M3 no matter what he tells you. (I work at the BMW dealership where his M3 is recorded in his moms name)

He tries to pick a fight with everyone he meets and even took out a golf club and swung away at one of my coworkers.......then he asked us to steal him a couple quarts of oil and a filter because he couldn't pay for it?

epic failure at an attempt of creating a normal human being by his parents
