Do you think next years Black Series will have MB's all new MCT sport 7-speed tranny? Or should it.

what makes you think there will be an 09? the only 09 black series I am aware of is the SL model.

CLK 63 Black Series, 2009 S550, 2011 Range Rover Supercharged, BMW F800 GS Anniv Edition
The SL Black Series is supposed to have the MCT, if they make it. The CLK Black Series was only an 08 model run.

I was at the Chicago auto show on Tuesday night. While at the MB booth talking to the salesman that sells me my MB's he introduced me to an AMG rep and told him I own a Black Series. We spoke for several minutes about my Black. I then turned the tables and began asking him about the rumored SL 63 or 65 Black that I have been hearing about. All he did was smile and say "he could not comment on that". I've been around the block a few times, if it was a no he waould have said "no". "No comment" means yes it's true.

It would be nice if the CLK63 Black Series got this new transmission, but I doubt it. So is it official that there will be no 09 model?

Yeah, you're right, still I'd feel just a little ripped off if I paid over 138k for a black, which is supposed to be the highest performer, and it didnt come with the highest performing xmission.
Its no coincidence- the timing of each announcement.
Such greedy b******s.

It's called marketing...and some of us fall for it hook, line and sinker every time! They know that there are a handful of people that can afford and always want the latest and greatest. Besides, if they were not constantly offering upgrades and better features, we would be complaining about that.

The CLK 63 BS was introduced last April at the New York auto show and the first deliveries started soon thereafter. At the time it did have the highest performing MB transmission available. We can't complain about not having transmissions which aren't showing up in cars until a year later when the production run is already complete.
