Thinking of Selling my Black Series

If I do sell it, I will make someone a very good deal. I need a more practical 4 dr sedan and a tow vehicle - the Black Series is just not being driven enough to justify continued ownership.
If anyone is interested, please shoot me a PM.

This is gonna get messy. Sounds like you should have gone with an E63 or M5 from the start.

For a tow vehicle I can recommend the new 6.4liter turbo diesel on my F250. 350horses and 650 pounds of torque makes a 10,000pound trailer seem like a feather. My MSRP $51k which is lot for a truck but in this ec climate Ford will move considerably from that figure

Hey guys - do me a favor and give it a rest with the doom and gloom outlook in selling a car. For those of us fortunate enough to have owned this car and bought it outright....loosing money on it was a factor considered when it was purchased - and just about every car looses value when you drive it off the lot. Some of us, however, can afford to take a biger hit than others. So, unless you have something productive to offer or would like to buy it, take a hike.
Thx.

Thx for the offer on the Ford, but I want an Allison transmission.

Sorry to hear you may be selling your BS, not to worry, as you know these days there are a handful of sedans with near supercar performance available. How large of a tow vehicle are you looking for? What are you haulling, would I be safe to assume the Cig? Are you looking for a pick-up, dually, or something larger like a TopKick or F650?

Yeah, I just like to shuffle my cars around ever year or so...I'll prob replace the BS with a nicely modded E55. For LA driving the BS 63 motor really has to be spun up to enjoy it fully and I'd rather have the 55 immediate torque. Correct, towing my Cig...Our race team has plenty of tow vehicles, big ones...but they are always being used and I just want something simple and easy that I can always have at my disposal. F450 is nice, pulls like a tank, but is horrible to drive (especially unloaded), turning is no good and I really need something like a Suburban or Yukon XL that is totally enclosed for gear, fridge, xtra props, tools, luggage etc.
I hate to see the BS go....it really is the best street car I have ever owned. But, boating is becoming more important to me and I really haven't driven the BS enough....it just sits in the garage....

If you want the coolest thing on the road go with the GMC Top Kick 4500 (or higher) 2 wheel drive, extended cab (or not). I just ordered one a few weeks ago, I went with the 6.6 Diesel (8.8L gas available) with a pick up box on the back. You can get the Allison 2200 auto. I am going to use it to haul my cars or motorcycles and ATV's when I don't feel like using the big Renegade hauler. It't cool and will pull your boat around like it's nothing. It's not as big as it looks, still good for most around town driving.

I believe International makes a nice over-sized Pickup, based off of a medium size commercial truck. I saw were Jay Leno has one.

As soon as I posted this thread, I got quite a few PM's from different people. One of them was from someone using the handle, "TheUnknown"....this person has 0 posts and no history here whatsoever and is clearly just trying to figure out what I plan on selling my car for - this was his initial message to me:

I blew this idiot off as he's obviously a troll or someone on here that signed in using an alias. Either way, to whomever this is, and I know you are reading this...get a life you POS and quit wasting my time.

To everyone else who is watching used BS pricing....the black BS in Pleasanton that is on autotrader is priced cheap and apparently the dealer needs to move it asap - SO - If anyone is interested; mine is priced even cheaper. Shoot me a PM for specifics.

-Hope this isn't aimed at me. I was offering up suggestions and this isn't a classified section. Happy you can afford these losses but so can a lot of us. My truck isn't for sale as I just bought it three weeks ago! Runs really well though and wife and kids love it like a big toy truck.
-It seems you're wanting an SUV-Chevy Suburban you said and it is a solid workhorse and can pull small boats with ease but like your RX just don't take it off road. g/luck w/search
-FYI looses and loosing are not words. You mean to use lose+losing Also list at bottom says who's viewing if worried about people browsing and looking for a steal at your expense.

I bought the black one in Pleasanton tonight. Picking it up on Saturday. Now I have to sell my phantom black RS4 with carbon/premium, 5700 miles. Asking $57K OBO.

Luke, don't mean to hijack your thread. Good luck with the sale!!

Do any of us keep our RS4's more than 6k miles. Be interested in your observations with the BS.

To the seller, I maybe interested, the Board is voting on my yearly bonus next week...fingers crossed.

isnt chevy the only maker that comes with allison tranny? I have to admit those over sized pickups are nice, some of em have decent interiors too...you can get a nice combo of workhorse and comfort.

I like those new ford king ranch's they have em on the superduty and f-150 platform. they also have the harley which is nice, a buddy has one. But none come with allison tranny if I am correct.

Good luck with the sale, $115k seems to be a fair price for it.

Thanks - I think so too...considering what Steve L paid for his which had only a couple hundred miles less...this is a really good deal considering what I paid an loss in sales tax...Oh well, that's cars and I enjoyed every second of it. If someone picked mine up and then took it to Evosport to do the "Jcart conversion" they'd have one of the sickest and fastest cars on the road and still be right around sticker...

If I tried to mod the car, my wife would just shoot me dead. When it is time to change rotors, I'll definitely consider theirs for the reduction is unsprung weight but other than that it would be divorce.

Luke, I think $115K is a killer price and anyone seriously considering getting one should jump at it. When I was looking up the details on blue tooth I thought I saw that you had it done on your car. That would be a good addition to your ebay listing.

When I sold my GT3 there were riots on the boards, it's hard to get ppl to understand, good luck with selling it.

Thank, Steve. Regarding the bluetooth...I really only used this as a weekend car, and talking on the phone was of little concern to me and I really didn't want the dealer or anyone else for that matter tearing into my interior to install it. In short, it was not something I put much value in and at $115k any potential buyer will have plenty of $$$ leftover to mod the hell out of it if they so choose.
