Hey all,

Just wanted to get a survery/poll of which color is most popular amongst the CLK 63 Black Series owners. So which color do you have?

List of colors to choose from are:

• Black
• Obsidian Black
• Mars Red
• Arctic White
• Iridium Silver

Almost positive Iridium Silver is most popular but again just wanted to get a survery/poll going to find out.

I sure see a lot of black for sale. My guess is red will have smallest number. I love this car in red, my second choice after white of course.....

Thanks for posting those pics Chuck. The red is really starting to grow on me. And that fact that the CF parts sticks out and is clearly visible on the red.

Do you know if they were selling those BS with mark ups and if so how much?

They are trying, the red one is used with ~28 miles and the black one is a new car with 15 miles. Asking price on both according to the autotrader ads is $157,995. If I remember correctly, they were both on ebay with a BIN of less than MSRP a month or so ago.

The first BS I saw was Mars Red and may very well have been the red car in the pics above when it was a new car at Beck back in November, it really stuck in my (my gearhead wife's too) mind..... then we saw the white one!

Guess they can ask, you never know who will come on the lot and just pay the money. Happens all the time. Also the pricing doesn't surprise me considering the source. Of the 80+ BSs on autotrader, there is one for $179k, these two and everything else is MSRP and below.

[edit]there are actually 2 others at ~$148k. Both have under 30 miles.

They have an 07 SL65 on the lot with 3500 miles and they are selling it as a "new" car with an asking price of $217K. More like it that the owner drives a few thousand miles and then they put them on the lot and try and sell them as "new" cars. Go figure.

thats good though! inflated market value will only help us down the line. Im seriously considering a CLK63 Black over the new SL63.
I don't really need the convertible top of the SL63, and apart from that and the MCT transmission I dont see the difference to me.

At 5'-17", I do not fit comfortably in the SL. In the CLK, I cannot put the seat all the way back as it's too far away from the pedals/steering wheel. Have I mentioned that I LOVE this car?

Can you please tell me what is the headliner made of? Regular fabric or Alcantara? I'm still toying with the idea of picking up a BS when my dealer told me there are quite alot silvers left in the whole nation. After I'd driven my wife's C63, I'm hooked, a big 6.2L in a small sized car really works, and for me to get another C63 seems awkward, so the only thing left is the BS. This is still a very tempting car.

From what I have read the white and red cars were produced in limited numbers, whereas it appears that the obsidian is the rarest of the bunch. Does anyone know how many obsidians were produced?
