2008 CLK Black Series -- Desperate To Sell, 2 of Them!
A friend of mine who works at Mercedes Benz of Encino in the Los Angeles area has 2 CLK Black Series that he is trying to get rid of and seems like he is a bit desperate to make a deal on them.
One is a Black on White & the other is Silver on Black. He is ready to give MSRP for them
but am sure he can work with you and bring the price down even lower since he gave me my C63 at 1,500 below MSRP. If you are interested then just drop me a PM and I will put you in direct contact.
Thanks!

Sorry as I am, he'll probably have to MUCH better than MSRP at this point if he wants to sell them especially sell them quickly quickly.

Are they that ready to sell? Knowing Encino... I say no!

I just thought that I would be of help to someone who wants the CLK BS.
If you believe that the price should be lower then I can put you in contact and you guys can work it out. I brought him down to 1,500 below on mine and it is a hot car.

He wont recover his cost. They are going to end up at auction or sold for 110k or less. New CLK comes out not to far into next year so they better move them soon or its going to be a blood bath!
Reminds me of 1974/75 when i wanted a new Pantera L. Price on the window was something like $12,500. My $10,000 offer was declined. I told the dealer I'd call back in a month. One month later, I called back, and they accepted the original offer. This time I said, "with a radio", as the cars came from the factory without radio or antenna.
The similarity of that time to this was the gas crisis, inflation concerns, and speed limits enforced for fuel savings.
Bought that car. loved it, drove it, and sold it for $14,500 a few years later when I needed to build a house.
In that interval. I turned down a Lusso (which couldn't get around the block), a Ferrari 365 2+2 with a crunch in the trans on upshifts to third, and an Iso Grifo, all of which were in the same price range. Oh well. AS
Amazing car and I really love it in white. The car I was driving suddenly felt quite diminutive.
Encino sold a bucket of cars last month and I hear they blew them all out just to move inventory. Economy like this = quite a time to buy cars at an amazing discount.

These arent necessarily prices available to the public although some can manage to get to these numbers. For perspective:

Autotrader.com is notorious for its overpriced dealer asking prices but you can find a new white one for 2k over invoice as advertised here. Im sure you could walk in and easily drop this price in a big way.

Here is a used black one with 4k miles, dealer asking 118 which means they took it in on trade for much less IMO

No expensive car is going to maintain values except for Ferrari and few others, so this isnt a knock on the BS as its arguably the best Benz out there for real enthusiasts who like to drive.
Thanks for posting the info from the Manheim Auctions.
I was wondering if you might be able to explain the shorthand that they use in displaying the sales prices?
07/24/08 MANHEIM Regular $103,000 768 Avg BLACK 8G A No

05/15/08 MANHEIM Regular $110,000 505 Avg BLACK 8G A N
I presume the first Item is the Date of Sale, the second is the Location (Don't know where Manheim or FAAO are), no idea what Regular refers to, regarding the prices shown - are there additional fees that the purchasing deG?aler has to pay?, Avg - does this mean "Average Condition"?, next is the color, 8G? or NON?, A?, No or N?
Thanks in advance, for taking the time to help out an auction novice.
