In my first 300 miles ...
I've had a young guy (20) in a Mustang GT actually bump into the minivan stopped in front of him because he was studying the CLK Black.
I've had a 997 C4S driver practically throw himself across to the passengers seat to give me a thumbs up at 60mph on I35 South.
I've had a guy at a gas station ignore his girlfriend speaking to him while he waved at me to smile and give me a thumbs up.
I've had 2 anonymous drivers drive along side of me to smile and wave.
And my credit union manager grinning ear to ear when I let him start it and rev the engine.
I had a Lapis Blue 911 Turbo and it never got this level of reaction from people and that's over 10k miles, not 300.
I understand why the car makes them smile, it makes me smile too.

It doesn't stop either. Last night on the way to dinner a guy in an Audi 6 slowed in the right lane til I caught up just to give a thumbs up and yell out the window "cool car!" After almost 1000 miles I still can't wipe the smile off my face.

i think the porsche has become a little too visible. great cars dont get me wrong but if you dont know what your looking at they all look about the same. only an enthusiast can really tell the difference between a carrera and a carrera 4s for instance.

Can't wait to see it tomorrow. Some days I wish I had gotten the BS instead of the 65. Perhaps a fun race is in order...straight line only. I'm not stupid enough to take on a BS in a curve-gotta play to my advantages.
