I'm fairly certain that routine maintenance is NOT covered by warranty. This would include A & B Service, fluid and filter changes, tires, brake wear, wipers, lights, ect.

Get your maintenance booklet and go to page 15 "First visit: 1,000 mls - 3,000 mls". To the right there is a tear out coupon that says "First visit at no charge".

My 1800mi rear differential service was covered by the local dealer and this was not the dealer I purchased from. I simply told them what I was bringing the car in for and brought the car in a week later. They took care if it without problem. They told me this service is included in the purchase price. I did have to pay for service A.

Differential Oil Change/Parts
Just a heads up to those CLK BS owners who have yet to have their differential oil change after the initial 1800 mi break-in period. The technical service bulletin requires the replacement of the filler plug and the threaded insert for the differential oil cooler outflow line with new pieces. These two items are not a common "in-stock" part, and usually require a 24-hour wait to obtain. You can save yourself a bit of time if you have the parts department either verify or order the required plug/threaded insert prior to your scheduled service. Otherwise its a two day wait to get your vehicle back on the road.
As an aside, my service was "complimentary"...no charges for the parts, fluids, or labor.
