I was slow as hell out there, only putting one lap into the 39's, granted I only put in about 10 laps, but I was still unhappy with my performance. I was happy to see Brad lay down a few low 33's with relative ease, he claims he could go 28's with it...I'm gonna hold him to it next time
I think it is a 28 or 29 second car, but as Jim Brady says, "the conditions must be good" and that is 10/10ths with the car - which I am never comfortable extracting from someone else's car! lol

We will see in Feb!

The blind turns are not bad if you have good corner workers, the bridges are not too bad with the exception of the Billy Mitchell bridge which butts right up to the track leaving no cusion or run off and as for the deer..I saw a guy hit one on a bike about 11 years ago...it was not a pretty sight, they actually ended up landing a medi-vac chopper on the track for that accident. I think a year or two ago a Champ Car driver hit a deer in nearly the same spot and it too was a ugly accident, I think the Champ cars come close to 190mph in that section, it must have looked like a ground beef factory with that impact.

Any in-car videos to show us some driving action from the cockpit?

Thanks Splinter. That video from you instructor is great......so many quick countersteer actions when pushing his car at the limits.

I was hoping to see some in-car videos from our CLK63 BS members here on their track day.......jrcart? Jim Brady? LZH?.....anyone of you mount an in-car camera to show us?

We took some, but it was so washed out, it was impossible to see.

Jimmy had a camera mounted in his car but he told me that the mounting angle was off a bit so it really didn't get much footage. Too bad becasue he and I were nose to tail for quite a few laps. We'll make sure to get some good clips at the Feb event !!
