If you are tracking your car, the Corsas are the way to go. If you spend most of the time on the street, I would go with the PS2's. The Corsas take quite a bit of HARD driving to get up to temp. The first traffic light you come to, they drop out of operating temp. IMO, they are a horrible street tire. Great grip, but useless in any large city where there is any traffic whatsoever. I LOVE my PS2's and honestly....if you are able to recognize the different level of grip on the street with the Corsas...your going to jail

Havent tracked my car in almost 9 months. I hardly get to drive it much. Winter is coming and my rears tires are almost toast. I would be more than happy with PS2s. I am not crazy enough ( probably not capable either ) to get the Corsas up to temp on the street. Having said that, I am interested to know who has the best deal on tires for our cars. If you have a hook up, please let me know. Say hi to Gene for me if you see him.
Thanks

I've used "America's Discount Tire" twice for PS2's. They seem to do it right and have decent prices. Lot's of stores in SoCal.

I'm curious, did you notice any ride improvement with your PS2's? I thinking of replacing my Corsa's that have 9,600 miles on them. I don't track the car and I would like to get a little better ride.

9,600 miles?
How the heck do you do that?
On the street I'm using Vred Sessanta's (280 treadwear vs 60 on the Corsa's) and I'm still only getting 7k miles!
Regardless of brand, new tires ride much better than worn tires.
You can also soften up the suspension settings.
Full disclosure, if there were corners to carve where I drive, I would may be using something other than the Vred's.

Can't say I noticed any significant difference. But my Corsa's were 25k mi ago, and it's just a guess. I'm happy with the PS2's - the only thing I noticed is a little less grip - but of course that is expected.
Michelin has run-flat versions of the PS2's, but not in both CLK Black sizes. They made them for the ZR1, so the 285's are available (ZR1 front), but not the CLK front 265's.

Ride quality will be a little better with the PS2's than with the Corsa's because of different sidewall construction. The real difference is the grip level. PS2's will come quicker up to temperature, which is better for the street. On the track, after 5 laps you can tell that you lose grip compared to the Corsa's.

I've got nearly 21,000 miles on Bridgestones, and think they are a great street alternative. My Corsas are on a different set of rims, so I put them on for track, and sometimes leave them on for a week or two after. Corsas turn in better, but our cars are so responsive, after the first 10 miles, you stop noticing. The Bridgestones are usable in the wet and in cold weather, but not workable once there is real snow. AS

Thanks everyone for your recommendations. My OEM Corsa's are an even 6/32 on the fronts and 7/32 on the rears at the center (I have a gauge). They are nitrogen filled, have never been tracked and have never been repaired.
I purchased PS2's without run flat for my BMW M5, M3 and 90 Corvette ZR1 and really liked them. So, if I decide to replace my Corsa's with PS2's is anyone interested in purchasing them for a very reasonable price plus shipping? PM if you are. Thanks

Believe it or not I have 18,000 miles on my original set of Corsas and should be good for another 2k. Granted it is predominantly highway miles, but it is still over New England roads and I do have a heavy foot. I can't explain it but am not complaining.

The asphalt roads which are mixed with tire rubber are much less abrasive.
At least that's what I tell myself.
It can't be me .... right?
I did get almost 6k out 2 different sets of Corsa's and I was fairly pleased with that.

I have used set.. cheap
Replaced my Corsa's with T1R Toyos 3 months ago... So I have Corsa's, rears have 8-9mm (75% remaining), fronts 3-4mm (30% remaining). Take all for $300. Or will trade for wine!
