I just finished the installation, can't say it only took the 30 minutes the instruction indicated. I took my time and it took me 2 hours, which included removal of the MB Star from the stock Engine cover.
I decided not to use the foam oil filters included, so I ended up buying BMC filters from Evosport, they got them to me in one day!
Overall, I'm very pleased, the fit and finish is very good but not great. If you compare Evosport CF quality to the Airbox, Evosport is a 10, Airbox 7 or 8.
Here are some pictures.

When you grow tired of the car & put it up for sale, I'll give you $500.00 for that set up. Don't forget now.
Don't think I will be parting with this one, it's a keeper. I would highly recommend this as a purchase, it's a great improvement and IMO MB should have included CF air box and cover.

regarding the fit and finish, could you elaborate a bit more? Is it something a little sanding or puttying could have fixed?

So, any change in HP? Or is this just for when you're lonely and decide to lift up her skirt?

I agree with your comments on fit and finish. Like you said it's good but not perfect. I found the actual airbox piece fits like OEM, but the front engine cover does not. It bows in in the middle on mine and you can't secure the center clip. Part of the problem is where the cover meets the airbox, it is too tight, and you have to play around with it to have it sit flush. I found it just needed a bit of filing in the corners. But the two times I've taken my car in for service, they never get the cover put on just right as it doesn't simply snap in like the OEM one and automatically fit perfect. You have to coax it to the proper position, and it will stay there.

There just is something wrong with taking one of the most well engineered cars ever built, (by MBZ none the less) that sold for over $135k just 24 months ago. And putting imperfect "bolt-on" parts. What's next, tow loops sticking out of the front bumper? Accords yes, WRX's yes, Nissan Z car ok.... CLK63 AMG BS... wrong IMHO. I guess I'm getting old.

I'm probably much older then you as I remember the phrase:
"If it don't go...chrome it !! "
For the young ones today's variant would be:
"If it don't go...carbon fiber it !!!!"

Carbon fiber is to the white man what 22" wheels & hydraulics are to the Mexican.

Doctodd33, unlike nrgy, my fit and finish was a different issue, the engine cover fit fine, however, the sensor on one side did not fit, the CF female plug was sized too small to allow the sensor with the gasket to seed in properly, eventually, I got it to fit. The other side was a perfect fit. Another detail I did not like, was the allen set screw to hold the sensor in place. As far as the finish goes, if you compare the Evosport interior CF to the Air box CF, the Evosport does not have any imperfections and the clear coat is smooth and matches the OEM CF perfectly, even the CF weave looks OEM, while the Air box has some imperfections (possibly dust particles in the finish clear coat finish process) and in certain situations you can see what appears to be vertical lines running in the clear coat almost, very similar to a bad bondo/paint job.
rkjacobs63, I completely disagree with your statement; in point of fact, why is it that most 12 cyl MB AMG have CF engine cover, one could ague that it had nothing to do with engineering and everything to do with saving $$$ on production cost. Having said that, I respect the fact that everyone has their own opinions and one of the great things about this board, is, you're able to solicit open and honest feedback from a wide variety of different views, otherwise this would be a dull discussion.
BTW, I'm not finished with my CF add-ons, looking to go throttle with the addition of CF OEM Euro seats, CF front lip and possibly replacing the OEM CF rear wing with a larger wing!

The OEM euro spec seats aren't carbon fibre in case that puts you off fitting them

With all due respect to the OP...
Any aftermarket part unless it is an exact form, fit and finish to the OEM part is not worth what you pay for it.
Poorly finished carbon fiber is an indication of a corner cutting fabrication process.
If an aftermarket part doesn't fit exactly, especially in the case of air flow, you may discover a performance decrease.
For what the aftermarket CLK63 Black Series parts cost, they should require zero modification to install.

Did you notice a HP increase or performance right away? How's the car running with the new CF box? Noticeable improvement?
Ed, I partially agree with the first half of your statement and I completely agree with the second half!
Jame55, The only noticeable improvement is the "looks" when you pop the hood, as far as seat of the pants feel goes, I would think it would have to be more the 15-20 hp in order to make a noticeable difference or it just may be that I don't have enough experience with hp changes to notice this increase, either way, ultimately I'm pleased with the overall product.
