I am happy to see Chuck received one, for a minute there I thought this was there way of black balling my vin and warranty LOL.
They must be buttering me up, they must have caught wind that I was at my dealership two weeks ago ordering another new ML and tossing around the idea of pulling the trigger on the SL 65 BS...They have a brand new untitled black one that they told me they would sell to me for $225K plus throw in a 5 year extended factory warranty (like I need that), thats about $85K off MSRP, if it was silver or white it would already be in my garage.

Thanks for blowing up the thumbnail...I still do not know how to do that

When I get home this afternoon I will take a picture of the bottom of mine to show you the stamping and engraving.
As for the SL65 BS, I knew the values were going to drop like a rock after seeing how the CLK BS values dropped in the first 12 months, that is why I backed out on mine last summer. They said they had a buyer who would take mine, some executive from McDonalds who lives a couple blocks from me and also owns a CLK BS, only to find out that he too backed out of the deal. I figured if I waited it would drop $60k-$70k and then I would grab one and send it out to evosport and it would almost be like getting the mods done for free. Well here we are less than a year after they were released and they have already tanked nearly $85k so it's got me thinking about picking one up again. If I do get one I'm going to be shooting for 800+ RWHP
But to be honest I have another project car I'm already working on, I'm building a "beater" track car
As for the prices/values of CLK BS vs SL BS, percentage wise they both devalued at close to the same rate/amount, it's just that the $85k discount sounds much more substancial, but I recall brand new CLK's being discounted to $100k-$105K by late spring of 2008 about 9 months after their release. By my math the two cars have devalued within 5% of one another.

economy and over priced AMG stuff = the depreciation we've experienced. 65BS depreciation = current value of some 63 BSs.........

No, it's something different, nothing exotic, like I said it's just an inexpensive, mass produced beater that I won't care if I hit a guardrail or armco barrier or even another car with
. It's nothing top secret, just a 2010 Camaro SS, 6-speed. I'm going to be installing long tubes, removing all emisions stuff, 6-point cage, full coil-over suspension, springs, lightweight wheels, ECU, pulley, TB, intake, lightweight seats/harnesses and a few other little bolt on go-fast goodies. It's going to be gutted of all sound deadoning material, remove the back seats and all inner fenders and fender liners. My goal is 480rwhp @ about 3200 pounds. I'm having it shot in satin black with dark dark gold roll cage, racing stripes and wheel lips. I'll have under $50k wrapped up in the entire package including the cost of the car, paint and all mods so if I nail a wall I won't have to fret over it too much.

.............JK, this thing is priceless, and again the pics don't do it justice IMO, I am still amazed by the detail of the wheels and tires on it, all seperate pieces that got assembled instead of just casting them out of one solid piece.
you know I live in Washington state right.....Agreed. I'm with ya, they really are amazing quality.
